That may only be the all around average. The highway rating is 8L/100km which = 29.4 mpg US. I know that on trips I'd see 30 mpg for sure with the 5-10% taller tires and all that torque.

I bought the newer short version over a year ago. I don't think you could buy the old one from a LR dealer if you tried. All they would be stocking/ordering is the new stuff. The obvious plus with the factory version is the departure angle/bumper overhang when not installed.

Using the PureGas APP I found a station about 1/2 way between Nashville and the northern border on 25 that has Efree 93.

Not just due to tank. 48 or so gallons is what it is. If you run at 13mpg, you would only get just over 600 miles until empty. The racks or stuff on them like awnings, RTT, etc, make a huge difference at highway speeds. I also only use ethanol FREE gas which yields no less than +10% mpg.
