    JK Safari snorkel

I have loads of pictures of this white JK and another one we did a complete AEV/AT build up on. I'd hate to derail this thread with them unless the author of the thread OK's it.

    Trailer tongue box battery setups?

We recently completely rewired a Conqueror trailer for a customer: This is the nose box after we had delved into the electrics to find out what worked and what didn't This is what it looked like close to completion with a solar controller and battery charger mounted on the back wall and the...

    Trailer tongue box battery setups?

Group 31 batteries weigh 60 lbs a piece, before installing two do a full power assessment before you install them. 120 lb of battery on the tongue causes a lot of tongue weight. Minimum set up, one battery (sealed AGM), one smart battery charger, one shore plug, two 12 volt outlets.

    JK Safari snorkel

I'd agree with you. We have done quite a few installs of the AEV snorkel and it's clean and simple, the snorkel goes directly into the air box. It does require cutting into the hood but once the cuts are made the cowling cleans everything up nicely. We use a piece of trim to clean up the inner...

No it's not one of ours. It's a really nice design if you need a chuck wagon. With our designs we try to blend our trailers to the needs of our customers, storage, shelter, comfort, kitchen. If you go big on the kitchen the rest have to give.

    Propex Heatsource furnace question

Here is a video of me running one of our portable heaters that use the HS2000 model. The sound is very low, sort of a low burbling noise.

    Propex Heatsource furnace question

Mike, with all due respect lack of oxygen is not the critical issue with heaters, it's Carbon Monoxide. Carbon Monoxide binds with the hemoglobin in the blood and prevents it from carrying oxygen. The effect is cumulative and there no quick remedy to reverse the process. Low oxygen is quickly...

    09' JKU Trailer Towing experience

What is "lightweight"? Seems that most of the larger trailer manufacturers consider lightweight to be any trailer they make that isn't a huge monstrosity. Some sort of open comparison. If you are judging lightweight by what's on the spec sheet, or the VIN you'll have to think again, most of...

odd request for any flippac owners

The outer tube shouldn't seal water inside it. If the fit is such that it is forming a seal against the outer collars then you need to drill drain holes in the sleeve so the water can drain.

odd request for any flippac owners

The Wildernest uses a spring hinge anchored to the vertical walls of the structure along with a cable system that goes from the vertical wall on the vehicle side of the shell to the apex of the center pole down to the outside end of the open lid. This system put enormous stress on the spring...

    Jeep Wrangler Habitat Official Release

No, it means if they are going to be used on the Habitat the supports and strengthening have to be engineered. The Hannibal is self supporting and this awning puts considerable strain on the mounting points, and the Foxwing has all of it's outriggers attached to one point. The Habitat has a...

    Jeep Wrangler Habitat Official Release

Traditional awning shouldn't be a problem. The Hannibal and Foxwing apply high degrees of stress at the mounting points when the awning is deployed, this effect is really compounded in the Foxwing design. This could be problematic under adverse conditions such as rain an wind.

    Water seal a 7.3 PSD

The air box and filter remain stock. The modification is closing off the regular air intake from inside the engine compartment and cutting into the air box on the fender side, and fitting a collar onto it so that it can connect to the outside snorkel. Don't forget that the primary reasons for...

    Water seal a 7.3 PSD

I haven't experienced any of these symptoms with my snorkel. I haven't scoured the internet trying to find out if there have been issues, just never heard of any. The only thing I have noticed is that you can sometimes hear the air entering the top of the snorkel when the engine is under load...
