It almost resulted in a serious injury due, presumably, to not having the seat belt buckled... that's the driver's leg flopping out the window and nearly being rolled over.
That is pretty sweet.
Personally, I would have done something different with the front bumper, probably go for all stock look or ARB, but it's a pretty unique rig and probably drives 10X smootherthan the original truck. Too bad the builder didn't keep the solid front axle and go coilovers :-D...
I put a lot of weight on mine that I had... the heaviest load was a canoe down the rough back roads of Big Bend NP for a week with no cracking or other concerns, sometimes driving much faster than I should have been down bumpy roads (in 2000....young and dumb).
Some photos of it here...
I think that the only way to put *real* recovery points on the rear of a Taco (1st gen anyhow) for use of something such as an elastic strap, is a new rear bumper.
Tow hitches are a very strong point on the vehicle, much better than the bumper, and useful if there is nothing else, but they are...
I sold a camera and a few lenses to a camera shop. They refurb them some, new felt pieces and such and sell them mostly to photography students. I felt I got a fair price for them. Best of luck.

loren85022,
That's a great write-up. I've been noticing your trailer for sometime and have been watching the local CL for a similar fiberglass utility bed.
You've got some really great ideas built in there now.
I wonder what the weight difference is between a fiberglass and a steel model...
Kayaker,
Great looking rig, especially with that bumper.
They are definitely somewhat rate... according to this ebay auction, only 4 turbos were made... (accuracy is questionable :-D )
I think you're the third owner on this forum with one of these, one of the others just started a fairly...
Very nice. I have a small boat trailer that I have similar plans for, an open-top canoe/camping equipment trailer.
Is the axle in the original location? Generally on boat trails, they are very rearward to sit under the center of gravity for the back heavy boat... I expect to need to move my...
IMO, these are the most important two items (assuming they have a functional bureaucracy and enough staffing)
I remember reading about what was learned about managing the forests after the Yellowstone fire of 88, primarily that occasional fires (1 per 10 or 20 years) were the natural norm for...
