You could always start a thread on that so we aren't hijacking this one. That way more people will notice it too...I for one think that is a fine topic and would like to know as well.
Nice rig, thanks for sharing some pictures already! I'm sure you'll love it. Care to share some of these ideas you have? I for one am always looking to see what other folks are doing to their rigs.
Oh yeah. Most people haven't a clue what it is as I have taken the montero badging off. Mostly because it was peeling from branches. I love it when people compliment my "jeep thingy".
Are you sure that the montero and the sport are on the same frame? I thought the sport was on the mitsubishi...
More than welcome to check out my build thread on my signature. Also, you have silverwolf, datrupur, off-roader, and many other build threads to check out. Get your ideas from some of these.... You find you have to be very resourceful when you're building one of these fine rigs.
It's great that there are still people around that take the time to teach their kids the important things in life. What's even better is that your kids are willing to learn. I find it hard to find even an adult that is willing to learn.... Now my kid, she will listen and learns very fast. She...
I am not familiar with the diesel engines in these but it could have something to do with the oil or filter used. Where'd you get the oil changed at? Was there anything else done other than an oil change? They may have checked out some other maintenance items and left something loose and or off...
Any new contact points made from the OME lift. The rubber bushings on the shocks. Loosen the bolts enough to get the lube into the cracks and re-tighten tighter than you had them before. take the weight off of the rear springs and try to shift them as the could be out of the "groves". Lube those...
Pending source of the squeak, white lithium grease in a spray can works wonders. Stays on for quite some time as it is very resistant to being washed away.
I have a Great Dane AND a .45. Not to mention a Ka-Bar and 6'4" 220lbs of man to use it. I doubt I will ever have to use any of it though. At least I hope not. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Give the perp all the chance in the world to disengage. If he does not, shoot to kill...
Had to lube the slide bolts on the Left Rear caliper today. Somehow a bit of salty water must have gotten into the channels over the winter. I noticed that it didn't quite feel right and I caught it way before it had a chance to cause any problems....
Looks like we have a mix of votes here. Hopefully we get some good information from this. I'm still trying to figure out who is watering their roof..... I figure want you want would have to depend on the regions you will be traveling in. In the western US, the sliders/ skid plates would be first...
I just downloaded all 4 of the scenic maps and I was very pleased with it once I figured out the user interface. The best thing for me was the fact that it tracks you and gives real time coordinates. No need for wifi or cell service so long as your iPad is gps enabled. I've used a few and for on...
I have actually had to use my locker on the rocks more than anything. I put my locker on before any of the other as it does see the most use. Not to mention it didn't cost me very much and I had to buy it before someone else scooped it up.
