Sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident. I am looking forward to seeing that thing on some 35s and having a snorkel up there. Where will you put the high lift mount? I am currently putting together a project that would allow me to mount my gas can and highlift on the spare tire mount and...
Use lock nuts where you can and locktite where you cannot apply lock nuts. Locking washers work very well and I use them on most of the large stuff. Not to mention that locktite keeps corrosion out of the contact area of the nut and threads. Much easier to break loose if you think corrosion may...
I have had them both. The FS on my Xterra and the BFG KM2s as well as the AT. I can tell you that the KM2 is a better tire in my opinion to the FS as far as mud and rocks go and is a bit quieter as well. The sidewalls are better too. In the mud, the FS MT and BFG KM2 do about the same with a...
LOL man, when I post it never subscribes for me(at least not to my knowledge).... I just check in this section from time to time. Whenever I see this thread it makes me feel retarded for the sake that some of the stuff you guys have mentioned as far as charging confuses me to near madness...
If I can get a Diesel in that suit, you bet I will try. Nissan is the diesel king as far as the rest of the world is concerned. Only problem is finding any parts I may need here in the states. Thanks for the compliments as I have worked very hard on this rig and I am the only person who has done...
Simple yet effective. I like it... I pondered at this idea for mine but I'd never fit. (6'4") I have to push my front seats all the way forward as well as the rear and if I place my cargo boxes back there it makes just enough room. The planks just won't fit with the boxes though. Nice clean set...
I was all happy to see this thing go to a good home. Well, if anyone needs an IAC PN AC99 (I guess it fits up to 94 models Montero LS or possibly SR) let me know. Got one eagerly awaiting a new home to make your Montero run at the proper idle speed.
I was just outside after getting home from Tractor Supply. Bought myself a 10,000lb snatch block. It occured to me that I have never taken a picture of my off road lights on in the dark. So here they are...
The top ones are used for nighttime depth perception and distance while the lower ones...
LOL thanks, it was also one of the easiest. Nothing like the sound of a cold Coca Cola bottle being opened by a true bottle opener. Not to mention I need a bottle opener for my brand of beer for when I'm camping. Guinness is perfect to drink around a campfire while I enjoy freshly cooked...
It is nice to see you using your rig for what it was intended for. Thank you for sharing these pictures and you have a very impressive Patrol! I'd love to see more pictures if at all possible.
Thanks,
It is more important to get the passage clean than the actual IAC. Based on what you were saying happened when you tapped the gas, I believe it to be the actual IAC unit itself. I will look for it tomorrow. Someone in this house moves things.... I mean cleans up and hides all of the important stuff.
Thank you.
I have 2 runs set up for next month. A new trail needs to be explored which will be done early in April. I also have a 3 day excursion for the weekend of the 21st. Going to Pott's Mountain and I may take the pop-up camper for that one. :coffeedrink:
Except in parts of the UK where it is badged "Shogun"...
If you can find a good recent pic of my rig on the picture sticky thread you'll notice the word "PAJERO" on the hood lip in raised letters the same color as the hood itself.
Just so you know, every time I see your Patrol it makes...
The longer you drive it with the IAC on the fritz the more chance you have of the ECU being affected detrimentally. If it were me, I wouldn't take any chances considering that an ECU and any updates I.E. reflashes will be an expensive fix to say the least.
