What size is the camping lab changing room? Is it for the 55 x 94 tent or the 71 x 94 tent? I have been trying to locate one for a long time as Fernando has had problems getting these. If it is for the 71 inch and you would be interested in shipping that, I would be more than happy to take it...
That is a civilain model of the M100 (model number escapes me right now). It is easy to see as it has only 3 tie down hooks on the sides, stake pockets inside and a tailgate. The military versions had 4 tie down hooks on either side, cargo handles on the four corners and no tailgate or stake...
This problem has been corrected by many with the purchase (or building) of a flat roof rack. Although the rails are nice for preventing gear from sliding, so is a good knot and proper tie downs. I was looking at this same problem and found it easier to purchase roof rack mounts and build a rack...
thanks Dendy...I looked them up and it appears that they have them in stock. Very bummed about the shipping charges though...$28 for each one shipped is very high. Maybe if I call they would change the shipping top something more realistic.
Trying to kick start an old thread...looking for Wolf Pack or Bundu boxes myself and it seems that only two sites in the US carry them and they are always out of stock (Frontrunner and Sierra Expeditions). Does anyone else have a contact or retailer out there that also sells them? I am not...
No, the early quarter ton trailers are 2 inches narrower than the M416, This would include the early Bantam trailers both military and civilian as well as the later M100's.
I believe you have an M100. If I recall correctly, the militayr trailers had four tie down hooks on either side as well as the 4 corner handles. The batam trailers did not have the corner handles. The civilain Bantam trailers only had 3 tie down hooks on each side. If you can remove some of the...
The strip lights I used come in a flat roll. I can cut them to any length (minimum of 3 LEDs) or use the entire 15 meters if I want. Just take's a quick bit of soldering to wire them up. I am sure there are those people out there that will swear by using a fuse somewhere in the line, but with as...
I used LED strip lights...I bought a 15m roll of the stuff for around $40 bucks. I used the adhesive strip on the back plus a few small zip ties and I permanently afixed them to the bars inside my RTT. I ran a long strip down the center bar and then 2 smaller strips over each door. I ran the...
I built a sort of truck bed rack knock off to mount in my trailer to permanently mount my RTT on (also used it to run electrical wiring up to the tent). Its a little on the heavy side, but I used 2 x 2 .120 wall steel tubing. Up in the tent , my wife, 7 year old son and I have slept many a...
Those kits are not M416s, they are Bantam/M100 reproduction kits. The M100/Bantam trailers are about 2 inches narrower and have round fenders and not square fenders. The tubs are nice reproductions and fit the bill to replace a rusted out restoration project.
I am assuming that the lug sizes are the same (5 on 5, 5 on 4.5, etc)? The only concern I would have is the depth of the rims. If they work on both trailer and vehicle, I don't think that small of a height difference will make a difference or cause any problems (you could always air down the...
If you are looking for an awning that will be hard mounted to the teardrop, I would suggest Camping Lab. I have three of their awnings and am very happy with the quality. I use a screen set up on one of them and the privacy enclosure on the other. both are mounted on my trailer. The third awning...
If you are even thinking of having accessories or a battery on the trailer, I would go with the 7 pin. Most cars today are set up at the factory with 7 pin connections when a trailer package is installed. Besides, its better to have the set up and not need it then it is to go back and change it...
I highly recommend putting shocks on it. Loaded or unloaded, it will make a better difference in the handling. Shocks are cheap (brand new pair for around $30-40) and take very little work to make attaching points on a trailer
hitechledworld is the ebay name they have...If you search for LED tape lights it should bring up what I am talking about. They sell 15 meter rolls of this stuff cheap (i think they even do free shipping ). It is just a matter of soldering wire onto the contact points at one end of your strip...
How about LED strip lighting? I have found 15 meter rolls fo the stuff on ebay and have had great success with it. You can cut it to desired lengths. I have attached several feet of it inside my RTT fixed to the poles with zip ties. 2 long ones for bright lights, and 2 really short ones over the...
I have restored 3 military trailers (2 M100's and an M416). It was not difficult to find replacement race/bearings for it. If you love the parking brake, this is the cheapest way to correct the bearing issue and keep the parking brake. I have seen somewhere here or on MUD, that there is an axle...
