    Baboons pass, Lesotho, Africa

Ok, so all the cars were running and we had no issues.... except maybe for the D3 that had some issues to get through that very very simple easy flat obstacle in the previous post. But other that that, no problems. And then all of a sudden!! Check the travel on this stock standard...

    Baboons pass, Lesotho, Africa

The night was freezing and we didn't feel like showering before going to bed. Early next morning we rose and had good old fashioned shower! We carry a 20litre gas/22V geyser with a 12V pump that deliver water at 4 bar that, I build into a portable box, on all our trips. Since there weren't to...

    Baboons pass, Lesotho, Africa

Rocks, Rocks and more rocks. And then I got stuck..... And in the process I bent my Panhard rod.... This this was the end of day one, and we had to look for a spot where 7 cars would fit in, which is also flat enough to make camp. The road was the only option, and somehow we...

Panhard rod angle after suspension lift

Yes, an lenghtend Panhard rod will center the axle in the vehicle, but won't change the angle. Interesting enough, the OME's have only 25mm more travel than OEM.

Panhard rod angle after suspension lift

Ever since my suspension lift (OME) , I get a slight wagging feeling when driving on roads where there is lots of up and down wheel movement. Corrugation does not cause this effect, because the vertical wheel movement is small, even if high frequency. This morning I after driving behind a...

Hilux_Max's New D4D Hilux from OZ

Hi HiluxMax. That is one good looking Lux! I drive a Fortuner, the SUV based on the Hilux, and built a set of rock sliders for myself. I started with a profile that fit snugly underneath the door sill and worked from there. I can lift the entire vehicle on one high lift point in the sliders...

    EGT Gauges

EGT Gauges - do you use them, and which one? Where did you fit the probe? Looking for one with a small display to fit without drilling or cutting holes in the dash. Any experience with this one? http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=134
