Trailer Suspension options... for overland trailer

it works!! YES!! wheel adapters make it perfect.... so last night I confirmed the straight axle 6 lug hub or torsion hub doesn't sit right on the tire, and there was no way to make it work safely with any kind of lug/shank... so I took the spacer off my truck and tried it on the hub. You won't...

Pintle vs Lock&Roll vs Max Coupler

Thread bump.... The pictures of the failed LNR look like their old design (last pic from 2013), any one have anything to say on the new design? I'm looking at one because of the easy backup, but the also offer in various tongue lengths. Above, and the fact that I don't have to figure the...

Dissent offroad 2016 Tacoma trd build.

I vote for a cleaner bumper and put the 6" led bar in the above gap, it will help protect the lights better from dmg. the cleaner bumper will have less fab time, granted more weight... I'm kinda surprised you didn't transition more into the factory skids... soon other skids could tie into...

Trailer Suspension options... for overland trailer

took the trailer to 3 different shops, only one 'sounds' reasonable... I'll probably go with the classic leaf spring setup, any setup I go I'm going to need a subframe... the torsion bar has it's bolt points outside my 'tappered' trailer body... companies won't make them any other way... the...

Need your opinions on this 4runner please...

don't get hung on the rear locker, if you can get a 2001 or 2002 it has vsc and v-trac... it'll apply the brake on that wheel if slipping... essentially adding a locker up front too as well as the rear. now if your planning on some hard trails, yeah stick with the locker... or install better...

Trailer Suspension options... for overland trailer

Ok, I'm convinced... I'll stick with the torsion axle... sounds like it's the best out there for the buck... anyone know where I can order a torsion axle with the custom setup? I also need to lift the trailer to make it ride lvl with the new hitch height... raised it 9.75 inches above stock...

Trailer Suspension options... for overland trailer

that is some great food for thought, thanks for warning me about the spring loads, saved me lots of grief there... the Timbren Axle-less is a cool setup, I'd probably go for a 2000 lbs setup. the rubber is accessible so I'd probably be able to swap it out over time. leaf would be the tried...
