What HD Bilsteins are you thinking of running? I need new shocks in the worst type of way and cant bring myself to buy fancy external reservoir custom shocks…. I am lighter than you but not by much.
I’d take a 6.2 gas super duty or a 7.3 gas super duty. Quite reliable and easy to maintain. Newer trucks have a lot of advantages in better brakes, transmissions, etc. Worth doing the math on the break even point between maintenance and fuel efficiency economy savings. I love old diesels but...
What is the standing height in the box. Could you post some photos of the box? I am assuming this a is a 6.2 gas? Any idea what the gearing is 3.73 I am assuming?
Yeah I ended up sorting out the running light issue. Just needed to spend some time with a multimeter ha. I ended up making a hardwired whip with a maintenance loop that plugs into my trailer plug. Just got back from a weekend camping in Big Sur.
