I've been mulling over this for a while. Had some other financial obligations take priority. My conclusion has been an F350 Tremor with 7.3 gasser. I don't see the point of owning such a large, capable and thirsty truck if you are not maximizing capability. That sticker with the ratings is the...
Exactly. Once you start loading up the F150 with 35s and all the fixings you may as well go to the SD, but the F150 is flexible. With stockish tires and not much stuff loaded you can easily maintain some impressive economy for the size vehicle. The point being if you are going to slap on the big...
Last I checked the F150 and the f250/f350 have the same sized cabs, just different layouts. It has been years since I ran the measurements. A crew cab F150 with the 6' bed is basically all the same width and length as a superduty *mind the mirrors* lol. Additionally by the time you add 35s and...
I am extremely interested. Hits nearly every box in factory form. I hope it has an extended range fuel tank option. Looks like a very promising platform.
I keep hearing that the gas engines are getting a fuel tank size upgrade to 48 gallons in the CCSB. If you can get a Tremor with a 48 gallon tank that would be a decent cruising range stock with an extremely capable vehicle.
I got the 2.7tt F150 first year. It's been a total winner for me. I guess the 2.7tt has been really good motor out of the gate and I may be spoiled but I'd be gunning for the 7.3 gasser. Nothing wrong with the 6.2. GO WITH YOUR FIRST INSTINCT. At least in my personal experience the vast majority...
That is exactly what I was looking at. Pin stripes add character, but I like the idea of the linex armor. I do not like the shiny metallic look of most paint. I want a non reflective paint in a nice earthy tone.
I'm being seduced by the Tremor. I know I'd be overspending on it. It hits all my box's. I know I need a crewcab. I know a f150 will do everything I need. I want overkill. If I get a slide in camper, or decide to get a 5th wheel toy hauler I want the F350. My current truck is a Lariat. I know...
RAM makes some nice trucks, and their after market is stronger.
I have a f150 now, and I love it. It's hard for me personally to jump ship from Ford due to my positive experience with my current truck.
As I said before. If it wasn't for the fact I feel like I need the crewcab, I'd keep my...
400 feet pounds of torque at 1500rpm is what I heard. That is plenty. From the sound of it, this engine is designed to be abused. Simple, *hopefully* reliable, and over built. That is exactly what I am interested in. Now let's see how effecient it is and what kind of range you can get. At this...
When I lived in Hawaii I ordered my truck through Bob Smith motors in Billings Montana. They got me A plan pricing. After dealing with the only dealership on Maui and getting sick of their shenanigans I was willing to do the extra leg work. Jon Scott took extremely good care of me...
I won't know until I actually get better information but I like the idea of the tremor more than the Power wagon. If I'm getting a heavy duty truck I want the payload and Towing. If I want Max articulation and off-road prowess I'm going with a smaller platform that can actually get into the...
Ideally I'd like an ARB full gaurd with my F150 with the bars that protect the front fenders and integrate into the sliders/steps. That is the look I like. I'll probably have to have it custom fabbed.. Nothing like that in this market for a 2015 f150
Just did my 60k maintenance on my 2015 2.7tt. Not an issue to be found. Hand calced my mpg. Did 20.9 mpg mostly highway with 1/4 of my daily commute being stop and go with lots of traffic lights. 2.7tt has my full confidence. My only regret with my truck is that I did not get a crew cab now that...
