The body shop did a terrific job so no problems there. The only issue I have really is the EGR tube under my manifold got plugged up. I'm thinking that while the was truck was upside and oil was going places it wasn't meant to go, it coated the egr tube which in turn collected extra carbon...

I have an 02' Rodeo and I love it. It's a good platform. Mine even held up well when I rolled it on its roof. Plopped it back on its wheels, drove it to camp, wheeled it the next day. Even drove it 500 miles home without issue!

I can testify that with proper maintenance, the 3.2 will last a long time. Mine has been going 10 years and is getting close to 150k. It does use a little oil between changes due to the ring flaw but I check it often out of habit. For maintenance though the years, I have changed the timing belt...

It'd take a little fab work, but you could replace the factory rails with some square tubing welded up to mount and resemble your factory rails. This would keep the OEM look and still be low profile, just want to make it a bit longer to accommodate your basket mounts. You could put some rubber...
