    Isuzu Rodeo platform narrative

MtnClimber, Great to hear! I'd like to see that bumper. I've only been as far as Uwharrie National Forest and a little exploring of the Adirondacks in up state New York. I'd love to explore Vermont and Maine sometime. For the drop dif brackets, contact Joe Darlington, he's really reasonable...

    Isuzu Rodeo platform narrative

The body shop did a terrific job so no problems there. The only issue I have really is the EGR tube under my manifold got plugged up. I'm thinking that while the was truck was upside and oil was going places it wasn't meant to go, it coated the egr tube which in turn collected extra carbon...

    Isuzu Rodeo platform narrative

Glad you like it! They are cheap enough these days, you can pick one up pretty cheap. I have a few minor updates on the truck. I made a jerry can holder for my swing away carrier and added taller coil springs. For the Jerry Can holder, I basically scrap built it using some metal I had...

    What about this Trooper??

Looks pretty nice. As stated above, head gasket and frame rot. Fuel pumps go out from time to time too. See if the head is the AMC casting, they tend to be the better heads. I know a guy with 33" tires and an automatic who is running the 4 banger. He regeared to 5:38 gears and is still getting...

    Honda Passport/Isuzu Rodeo

I have an 02' Rodeo and I love it. It's a good platform. Mine even held up well when I rolled it on its roof. Plopped it back on its wheels, drove it to camp, wheeled it the next day. Even drove it 500 miles home without issue!

    Isuzu 3.2 vs 3.5

I can testify that with proper maintenance, the 3.2 will last a long time. Mine has been going 10 years and is getting close to 150k. It does use a little oil between changes due to the ring flaw but I check it often out of habit. For maintenance though the years, I have changed the timing belt...

    Expedition TrailBlazer Project

It'd take a little fab work, but you could replace the factory rails with some square tubing welded up to mount and resemble your factory rails. This would keep the OEM look and still be low profile, just want to make it a bit longer to accommodate your basket mounts. You could put some rubber...

I appreciate the complement! I think I have an addiction. Every time I take this truck out, I want to do more to it! After my latest trip, I want a lower crawl ratio and stainless steel brake lines.

    Isuzu Rodeo platform narrative

Met up with some fellow Isuzu owners for a little weekend fun at Beasley Knob Georgia. we explored the trails and forest service roads. The trails were different than I have have been on before. Steep red clay hills mixed with some rocky ledges and loose boulders. All meandering between trees up...
