    Boreas Campers EOS12

BTW, for anyone wanting an alternative table set-up, I’m almost done installing a modified Lagun table which will give us a lot more flexibility and space to move around. We decided we will never use the wider extra bed as the bench is fine for my daughter to sleep on, so no need for the center...

    Boreas Campers EOS12

Yeah, I like the solid feel too. Will probably replace the bent one and remember to keep the air compressor on if I have them deployed to avoid any change in air pressure leaving too much weight on the stabilizer. That’s I guess what happened.

    Boreas Campers EOS12

They decided to leave them off the latest EOS builds apparently. Not really needed according to Boreas. I kind of like them to keep the cabin from shaking in the middle of the night when someone moves around, but apparently there’s no possibility of the trailer tipping with the kind of tongue...

Anyone else bend the rear stabilization jacks? I had mine out at 45 degrees while in our driveway for several weeks and the suspension seems to have lost enough air over that time that the weight of the trailer bent one of the jacks to the point where it won’t fully lock in the stowed position...

    Does what I want exist?

I’d look at something like a TAXA Mantis and just bring a portable outdoor cooktop to cook outside. There are other trailers like the Boreas EOS that would fit your family and needs, but doesn’t sound like you need that level of off road capability or cost. The new X version of the Mantis...

Trying to figure out which trailer to buy - Family of 4

I’m a happy Boreas EOS owner if you ever want info on this amazingly well built trailer.

    Chinese Trailer - NJStar Explorer

I agree that at that price you can’t find anything with those features, and maybe of that quality, but there are some US makes that manufacture trailers of far higher quality than this, with far superior parts, electronics and features, albeit at much higher prices. They also offer better...

High Altitude Trailers / Earthship Overland

Isn’t beating a trailer to death an expected level of use for an overland trailer? With other builders offering lifetime chassis warranties, no way would I touch one of these.

2024 Land Cruiser in the USA?

If the mpg is actually as good as the ratings, I’ll probably dump my Defender and get an LC in ‘25 once initial market demand burns off. It’s pretty much all about the mpg for me. The oil companies are taking too much out of my pocket every time I take a long trip with the camper.

Surprised no one is discussing the Cybertruck today.

Many of the subsidies for extractive energy industries are not available to other industries, and they are more than substantial. There’s a reason Europeans pay 2-3 times what we pay for gas and heating oil. We just pay for it differently and don’t realize it...

    Boreas Campers EOS12

I’ve attached several of the net pockets to the walls in the EOS and before that in our XT. I’m sure Adam can give advice on max load, but I’ve never had any issues with the net pockets coming loose with their standard wood screws. The walls are plenty strong enough for that kind of light...

May want to use some punctuation if your intent is to communicate with the group. I have no idea what you’re saying.

Still interested in seeing how this turns out. OP seems to have gone quiet.

    Chinese Trailer - NJStar Explorer

There’s nothing unique about huge markups in trailers vs any other imported product. It’s all a matter of scale, warranty requirements, and risk. For a small scale business like trailers, and in particular a niche market like off-road trailers, an importing business has to make enough margin...

    Pebble trailer

This is one entertaining peanut gallery. I’m sure they haven’t thought about sway at all. And people back into trees all the time with their 100K trailers. Must happen every day. I guess it’s fun to poke holes in every new thing that comes along.

    Pebble trailer

It’s obviously not made to go anywhere off pavement, but if they can actually deliver these things for $110K - $125K as advertised, that’s pretty amazing. A lot of wattage and technology for that price. Now if they make one that could take beating. The thing is far too civilized for my taste...
