Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

Wow, it was a sauna last night with 95 degrees and high humidity. I ran the trucks A/C a couple times to cool off the camper. Nice having the interior open to the cab’s A/C. View of the river for breakfast. Now off for some kayaking.

I think it’s time for a little road trip. I’ve taken the Jeep East, South, and West. Time to head North along one of America’s most scenic drives “The Great River Road”. North of St.Louis the Mississippi River has dozens of small river towns with fun attractions, restaurants, wineries, and...

With my creek crossing widened, I can finally drive my Gladiator down to the River Clearing on my property. The winch came in handy clearing some big fallen trees. Man I love these rope winches instead of the old steel cable, that would tear up my hands.

Well, looks like my camper's little water pump gave out. I didn't winterize it, and it shot craps. It runs off my power supply and has a built in pressure switch, so all you do is turn on the faucet and the pump kicks in. It's really simple and nice. I'm looking for any tricks to use this in...

As you can see, the crossing was pretty narrow and I've never taken the Gladiator across. It was mainly for my side by side, but occasionally someone was brave enough to cross with a smaller Jeep. When I'm done, it should be twice as wide as below.

The day after I got the insurance check for the hail, another tornado took out my RAV4. Luckily the house wasn’t touched. Guess I live in tornado alley.

Yea, the Gladiator did pretty good. Surprisingly the fiberglass camper didn't have a scratch. My kid's Rav4 parked next to it looks like someone took a hammer to the hood and roof. I guess Jeeps are made pretty tough!

Well the hail hit St.Louis yesterday and a couple of my cars got damaged. The Gladiator faired pretty well with only a couple dings on the hood. Hope the Dent shop can pop them out.

I use a Pecron 600, which has been pretty good as long as I run the truck every day or two. I'll go with a Pecron 1000 or 1500 when I replace it. The trick is that I'm limited by my 400 watt truck's built in inverter and the Pecron 600 has a 350 watt charger. I'll have to see if the Pecron...

So here's the easiest way to power a fridge so you don't have to worry about the truck's battery. If you have a built in 120v outlet in your truck, just plug in a power supply to this. Then plug your fridge into the power supply. The truck charges the power supply only when the truck is...

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

Two things I hate about my Gladiator when camping!! 1) The headlights turn on every time I open a door. This will really piss off those nice tent campers next to you in the middle of the night. 2) The damn horn sounds every time I lock my truck. Those poor campers are really upset at me now...

Ran into a fellow Overlander and Mountain biker this morning. He’s been living in his truck for the last 6 months and slowly making his way from California eastward. And I thought I used my camper a lot!

Guess this is the last night I will need the heater for the season. I had the diesel heater on the lowest setting and outside it was 50 degrees. Inside was cozy. Looks like it’s going to be a great day.
