SOLD: 2016 Transit 250 High Roof Ecoboost 148" Camper/Gear Hauler - Low Miles!

Selling my 2016 Transit 250 High Roof Ecoboost 148" Camper/Gear Hauler. It is in excellent shape. It spent most of its life in California where I was living when I purchased it, but we moved to Vermont and it has mainly been stored since the move, and only driven occasionally in the summer...

4x4 van conversion parts including unused Ujoint components

Due to moving and lack of time I am putting off my 4x4 van conversion project. I have almost everything you need to convert a ford Econoline van to 4x4, all parts are located near San Mateo, CA. I'd like to get rid of the axles soon, they have been stripped down and coated with POR-15. The...

FInally found the right one, 2000 E250 - Prepping some axles...

Well after moving twice and now re-locating to California this project has to be put to rest. I have front and rear axles with 4.10s, cleaned up and coated in POR 15, BW 1356 x-fer case, 4R70W out of 4x4 F-150, steering components , front driveshaft from a superduty, rims, full ujoint kit, etc...

Central Washington in two 4wd vans

Awesome! I was out that way last weekend too. My girlfriend and I packed up the van and drove to Leavenworth, Chelan, went mountain biking at Sun Mountain near Winthrop and then went back home over Hwy 20. I'm still new to this state, there is so much to explore. I can't wait until mines finally...

Well, let the fun begin! A SLOW E-350 build...

Looks great! Hows it feel with 33's and 4.10s on the 5.4? My 5.4 van project got put on hold as projects tend to do but I'll be building the same setup.

FInally found the right one, 2000 E250 - Prepping some axles...

Jeff that is an awesome price. Know of any way to get it up to WA on the cheap? I did track one down local with 4.10s though, missing hubs but has the drag link I need. I think between it and the one I have I can build up what I need, I just need to talk the yard down another $100. If things...

FInally found the right one, 2000 E250 - Prepping some axles...

Yeah the truck I pulled it from had no front end damage, but I know it came from another parts truck and was put under that one just so it could be rolled around the yard, so I have no idea what the story was with the original truck. The ujoint on the passenger side axle shaft had two busted...

FInally found the right one, 2000 E250 - Prepping some axles...

So ujoint, you say you have had front axles that were messing with your eyes and seemed "bent" before? I decided I was going to tear it down this weekend and replace all seals, ball joints and u-joints, and when I got the passenger side axle shaft free from the knuckle seal (so only the inner...

    Love your tires??

Does everyone here run E load tires? I'm planning on a lightweight build in the rear and I only have the 5.4. I can get some tires from my roommate at a good price, but they are Ds and I was planning on running E loads, though technically they will support the weight fine by their rating.

FInally found the right one, 2000 E250 - Prepping some axles...

Yeah I have a 1356, I got a good price on it from the local junkyard. Unfortunately there are no good junkyards around me that I have found with trucks. And yes, it has a yoke output for the front. I'll have to think about this one, if I come across a 271 for a good price then maybe it will make...

FInally found the right one, 2000 E250 - Prepping some axles...

Thanks Chris, that is reassuring. I will be running a BW1356, so I was planning on modifying the driveshaft no matter what, I just wasn't sure if I could save some $$ by using a stock superduty shaft. Let me get my "ducks in a row" and then I think there might be a few things I need from your...

A solid color might look better too, like if you could find a bunch of all black ones.

FInally found the right one, 2000 E250 - Prepping some axles...

I have been slacking on the updates. The guy who sold me the busted D60 front with 3.73s was nice enough to take it back and swap me for a D60 front with 4.10s, so I picked up a Sterling rear from him with 4.10s to match. It wasn't my initial plan, but now I don't have to fumble with matching...

    The rust saga goes diesel.

That thing is awesome! How is the rear axle on your Quadravan? Why not just swap both axles under?

    UJOR Build Thread

I just noticed that the 10.5" you are building has both calipers on the rear of the axle, my 10.5 has one on the front, one on the rear. I also happened to notice the other day when browsing ScoutKid's thread that his 10.5" had a flanged output, whereas mine has a yoke. Whats with all the...

    Scoutkid's van is HERE!!!

Sorry to bring up an old post but I am running some calculations and have a question for you. Was the 500 lbs all suspension parts, nothing else in there? As in all parts that aren't supported by the coil springs?

Here goes nothing...2700 mile trip in an unknown van...what else to replace?

With a 1997 you should hopefully not have to worry about breaking a plug, it seems to be 2004+ after they changed the head design that is prone to breaking. However the 1997-2003 engines are prone to blowing spark plugs if not properly torqued (www.blownoutsparkplug.com) so you will definitely...
