    FJ advice needed!

Guy and gals, As always you've been a huge help. I test drove one FJ liked it, but the numbers did not work out. I'm off to test drive a 6 speed manual :smiley_drive: in the next day or two. If you have anything else to add don't hesitate to add to the thread.

    FJ advice needed!

I'm looking at purchasing an FJ Cruiser. Seeking any and all advice and things to look for and things to avoid. I am really seeking the classic Toyota longevity, does the FJ stack up with tacoma and 4runner? As this will be my fist Toyota I'd like it to last a long time. Thanks ahead of time.

    2015 discovery sport

If it is replacing the LR2 it makes sense, and I don't think its ugly, just looks like every other crossover, which is what it is competing with. I like the fact they actually tested it, or they said they did, if land rover holds on to some of its heritage I think we will all make out ok.

    V6 LR3, are they good?

As always your council has been excellent and informative. Sadly the V6 was really pretty trashed previous owner was a smoker, and I'd guess wet dog transporter, the interior was shot and even dealership cleaned smelled like a college bar. That being said I'm looking at a 08 LR3 with 71,000 and...

    V6 LR3, are they good?

Looking at a 2006 v6 LR3. I've owned the V8 in the past and loved that truck, but looking at a lower milage V6 but don't know about the engine. Are they reliable? Are they sluggish moving such a hefty truck? Thanks for sharing your collective knowledge.

LR3 owners sound off, which tires?

I've seen a lot of different tire combos floating around and was interested to see everyones set up and the pros and cons. Especially interested in seeing what you are all running on the 10spoke LR3 wheels w/out lifts.

    LR3 Model/Tire Questions

The beauty of the 7 seater is that all the seats lay flat. I can sleep in the back very comfortably at 6'2, and makes moving ski's, surfboards, etc way easier. I have yet to put on any other tires then AT's (General AT2's) I live in Jackson Wy and do my fair share of snow driving. The LR3 is by...

    LR3 mystery noises, any guesses?

No the bearings are shot and caused damage to the entire hub assembly so hence the entire replacement, had I caught it earlier might have been able to go that route

    LR3 mystery noises, any guesses?

Turns out the passenger wheel bearing was shoot. The driver side not to far behind. To my surprise the local Land Rover dealer beat the price I was quoted by an independent shop. I've had the Rover for 50,000 miles and it is just shy of 100,000 miles and this is the first big expense I've had on...

    LR3 mystery noises, any guesses?

After a day in nasty sticky Idaho mud I washed the car getting as much mud off the wheels and undercarriage as humanly possible. After 300 highway miles I started to get a rattle sounding from the wheels, drive linkage, and/or drive train, the sound of gravel on metal. I can't find any visual...

    New Member, New Rover

Welcome to the LR3 club! Your going to love your truck. I'd start with a good pair of tires, I run the General Grabbers AT2 and love them. If your not off to Africa don't fret about the airbags quite yet, I'd find a good shop to take a look at them, but if well maintained they will last you a...

Land Rover LR3 vs 100 series LC/Lx470 vs 1st generation Sequoia

Between the Land Cruiser and the LR3 you have just got to get in them and drive them. They are different beasts, both will get you were you want to go. You'll know when you drive them which one is correct, because you will get out smiling. Good luck with the debate, but just get the right truck...

    Putting down the Disco II

the damage is all front end no engine at all, but hood, bumper, lights etc. I've gone ahead and totaled it, it leaves on Thursday form Jackson Wy. Sad really its like putting down old yeller, expect it has wheels, and is black. I don't think I'll be switching to a toyota, I got bitten by the...

    Putting down the Disco II

Well I've got to make the call on repairing or walking away from my 2000 Disco II. It really is kind of sad, it was the first truck I ever bought and got me started on my green oval obsession. The girlfriend put it in to an irrigation ditch a few weeks ago and the insurance hassle has finally...

    New Defender Concept

i have to say I'm torn, sure its not hardy and heavy like my 88 range rover. Alas I've been converted by my LR3 and have to say maybe times are changing and the Defender needs to as well. Have you've ever taken you smartphone on vacation? Don't we all drool over GPS and new map apps and...

LR3 needs new shoes Generals or Nittos?

Well voice your opinions folks, do I get the Nittio Terra Grapplers (never owned Nittos but hear good things) or the trusty General Grabbers AT2's (which I have on my DII). Setting up for a South American run, so heavy highway with consistent off road use.

Love mine as well, managed to use extended mode which is amazingly cool. Every time I get out and drive it I can't help but smile.
