    Heavy Duty Recovery Boards

PAP is well known for soft surface use and very versatile, but bridging for a 5 ton vehicle?! Need to see some real world data and video first...

It actually this thread that missed the mark.

Thread for those that have their money down.

RDS has had demos for a few weeks. I’m 6’4” and was really comfortable in my non-safari test drive vehicle. Which is great, since my Gren arrived at the Port of Baltimore on 16-Nov!

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

There at least seems to be a lot of interest from LR owners, and we have a history of making things work well past their expiration date. Happy to take that path if necessary. Just pointing out it is similar in that you now have an non-standard LS installation (like a non-standard B58...

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

This is how the automotive market works. Case in point, Toyota seems to think their 4cyl+electric motor is a good idea but I will not buy one. What about all those aftermarket LS swaps?

Winter Fun on a fattie. Quick question

I’ve ridden almost every type of bicycle in the past 40+ years, but never heard of “ice bikes” before.

    INEOS Grenadier

This info will surface reasonably soon - There are literally hundreds of Grenadiers hitting East and West coast ports this month. Owners are also putting them to task in South Africa and Australia.

After 8 years in a full size, moving back to a mid-size - Recommendations?

Yup, we’re moving is six months, going from an 2-bay to 4-bay garage. I’ll get down to four vehicles by then... Inventory issues seem to be the biggest hurdle.

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

Yes, the true theory is, as a modern vehicle, it doesn’t fall short. Expecting it to be feature-built like a 1987 model is just bashing it.

    INEOS Grenadier

For all the bashing it gets, I really look forward to the simplicity of the IG’s off-road mode and axle diff locks. Very basic, tried and true with no system intrusions. I’ll take the coil springs, metal bumpers, boxy shape (accessible cargo space and vertical sides), manual seats and true hand...

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

It’s about fun, driving as I see fit, and hopefully selecting a vehicle I can drive for 20 years. I’ll add that ford/gm/stellantis are the Fashion Plate. They’re non-starters. I don’t even look at their products.

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

In all honesty, the Expe (dition) is kind of ugly and soulless. I had to learn auto mechanics out of necessity, and from that I decided life is way too short for boring vehicles.

After 8 years in a full size, moving back to a mid-size - Recommendations?

I don't know if there is a standard, but before our current house was built, I asked the builder to extend the 2-car garage. It was about 19ft standard and he added on 8ft, plus 8ft-clearance doors. This gave me tons of room against the inside wall for a large workbench and storage. To do that...

good theory as to how it missed the mark.

I think these buyers will surface once they see the initial vehicles hit the ground. The Grenadier wasn't really advertised in a traditional automotive manner and traction came from off-road-specific online channels. I would guess most of those look-at-me's are not even aware of the Grenadier or...

But the Gren is not a "first edition". In fact, USA gets the '24MY vs the '23MY supplied to all previous markets. And you can order one today.
