Check the bed extension interlock switch. The metal bracket that press this switch when the bed is deployed bends sometimes causing the lights and the heater not to work.

on road : ~15 without roof rack and camper. 13 towing. cruising at 60-70 mph adds another 1 mpg. going 80's -- forget it. on an offroad trip I usualy plan for 700-800 mi range depending on how much "offroad" i will do.

Yes on the first one. Same R&P as 8" Toyota (Land Cruiser or otherwise) In the rear the R&P are the same size as the 80 but the ring is mounted with bolts (no nuts) from the back into tapped holes - like the front. The 80 uses trough holes in the ring and is mounted to the carrier with bolts...

Shipping both of these boat anchors became a show stopper for me. The mod is a no brainer. As a matter of fact, I would hardly call it a mod. Once you see it, the rear of the 80 and 100 is almost identical. Besides I enjoy working on it and learning the truck. You never know when I'll need to...

Thanks for the put. I have been talking to him for a while now and got some ideas from him. He has been very helpfull. BTW setting up a gear cutter for a 1-2 gear set will cost you like a nice used cruiser. not to mentiuon the heat treatment and such. Been there.
