It's been my experience, the rattlesnakes tend to get darker colored as you gain elevation, but you occasionally see some dark ones down lower.
Once or twice a year I pull the garden hose over to the driveway. I use a bucket of water and dish soap with a rag.
Otherwise, I wait for the rain to wash it down.

I've had a couple for years. They don't leak when closed, but they do leak a little when pouring into the tank. I switched to a super syphon and eliminated that issue. I also have Scepter cans and one of the 4 likes to leak a little.
Been using Nalgenes for a good dozen years. No reason to stop now. Besides those Siggs are pricey. If I was going to replace my Nalgenes, I would get more Nalgenes and save a lot of money.
