Do you have skid plates? I didn't see a mention of them. I have a 94 CTD and I think something protecting the fuel tank is a good idea. I'm not sure how to fix this, so that is why I am asking.

I have thought about using ridged foam insulation and cut to fit, but I wonder if it would start to rub and then squeak as I drive down the road.

I want to install a skid plate to help protect the fuel tank from "things". I don't think the 94 Dodge had a fuel tank skid plate as an option and I don't know what material I should use to make one. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Ken

I also have done the brake cyl mod, works great. I have read that if the drum is hard to take off, leave one lug on, with the rear on jacks, spin the tires in gear and then put on the brakes and the drum will pop right off. Remember to leave one lug on or the drum will go somewhere. Ken

I would do some research so you know about these problems. I have heard that any V10 "should" fix this problem. not cheap to fix, but better to know what to exect than having a plug come out at some far away place.

another good site for info you need is dieseltruckresource. you should find out what your fuel pressure is, that will show you where you may need to start. running low fuel pressure is a sign of expensive things to come, if you don't get it resolved. not that I know anything, ken
