    rear tie down eye bolts

I have a 2003 Pastime, 8' camper, truck 8'bed, so no overhang off the back. Long story short, the eye bolt and nut need to be replaced. Removed the propane tank and plastic compartment. About 4"x4" of dry rot, and the 1x3 in the same area has about 8" of dry rot. I was thinking of bolting a...

    jefe's hardside camper hauler

Do you have skid plates? I didn't see a mention of them. I have a 94 CTD and I think something protecting the fuel tank is a good idea. I'm not sure how to fix this, so that is why I am asking.

    2008 e150 tires, 235/85r16?

Time to replace the tires. Currently have 225/75r16, standard stock size. Thinking of increasing the ground clearance a bit. I would like to use the 235/85r16, 32"dia, will they work without issues? I have read some have used a 265/75r16, 32"dia, wider (which I don't need), but I don't know if...

    Dodge 3/4t tires-Toyo M55 or BFG KO2

I have the M55 of my truck, 2nd set on now, 8 years old and ready to replace, I like the tire. I choose M55 because I wanted the least chance of a tire issue, I also carry a camper. I'm ready for 4 more and will likely use the M55 again, 285/75/16. Great load rating, not loud with this truck, or...

insulate and panel e150 cargo van

I have thought about using ridged foam insulation and cut to fit, but I wonder if it would start to rub and then squeak as I drive down the road.

insulate and panel e150 cargo van

My 2000 E150 cargo van needs some protection from dents when the things inside hit the walls make dents from the inside out. I'm thinking 1/4" plywood, and some thin fiberglass type of filler under that might work. Suggestions on what type of insulation to use and then a "paneling" of some type...

Skid plates for 2nd Gen Dodge Ram 2500?

I have not found the skid plates anywhere either. If there is a source, I would also like to know. On newer trucks I read the Power Wagon plates can fit the standrad trucks, but I don't think that works for our 2nd generations.

Generators & fuel cans how are you mounting them to you truck?

I don't remember the cost, it has been a few years now, 5-6 yrs. I did a quick search and did not see the one I have. I think it was about $250 or so. I think it is worth the investment. I am very happy with how it works, however a few reviews of some thing similar we not favorable. The rack...

Generators & fuel cans how are you mounting them to you truck?

I don't have any pics, but I use A Bauer bike carrier that can carry 4 bikes. I usually only carry two bikes, but with the extension to carry the 4 bikes, the two bike are a bit father away from the camper, so we can have easier access to get in. The swing away gets the biles out of the way when...

Kelly Kettle vs. JetBoil vs. Other Small Stoves: OJ->Real World

I've used many of the MSR stove. while dependable, they will not simmer and stay on. The Nova is the best stove I have used. Always works, simmers great, and you can hear when someone is using your stove.

    Hammock tent ideas

I have a Hennesy Hammock and I love it. I then had 3 other guys buy them too, they liked the idea so much. Very comfortable, light weight. I have sent them up in a downpour using the snakeskins, no problem. Hung out at one spot where those in tents we all on a hill, not me. Wind came up, rain...

    Skid Plates

I want to install a skid plate to help protect the fuel tank from "things". I don't think the 94 Dodge had a fuel tank skid plate as an option and I don't know what material I should use to make one. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks, Ken

    96 Dodge Build

I also have done the brake cyl mod, works great. I have read that if the drum is hard to take off, leave one lug on, with the rear on jacks, spin the tires in gear and then put on the brakes and the drum will pop right off. Remember to leave one lug on or the drum will go somewhere. Ken

    Ford v10 questions

I would do some research so you know about these problems. I have heard that any V10 "should" fix this problem. not cheap to fix, but better to know what to exect than having a plug come out at some far away place.

    New Dodge!

another good site for info you need is dieseltruckresource. you should find out what your fuel pressure is, that will show you where you may need to start. running low fuel pressure is a sign of expensive things to come, if you don't get it resolved. not that I know anything, ken
