07 4Runner Build

Looks like the swaybar was rubbing on the driver's side lower shock mount with the SAWs? Did you do anything to address that?

No issues running like that? I've been thinking about removing the front bar with my OW setup.

When I installed my King's I put it back on. If it's your daily driver I would keep it, as it offers more benefits on than off. The only gain you get is more articulation off-road, but at a cost of more body roll (much, much more) and it feels really loose/sloppy when trying to make a fast adjustment such as an evasive maneuver. You can always pull it off, try it for a few days, then decide for yourself since it only takes 10 minutes to take off or put back on.

If you try with it off, find an open road and jerk the steering wheel back and fourth and feel how much it sways. That way you will be prepared for how it responds should you ever need to make any fast maneuvers.

Yeah it's a daily. I'd rather leave it in but it's hitting stuff since my lift. If I can find a fix for that I'll do so instead of removing it completely but I can't help but think that having it hit isn't doing me any good at all.

Build Update:
External CB speaker for the Cobra 75 WX ST. Great unit, but not very loud on it's own.

Sliders moved up to accommodate the body lift.

New meats: LT285/70/17 GY Duratracs. I was originally looking at BFG KO's vs. GY MTR's w/ kevlar but found these as a great middle ground. Better traction than BFG KO's and better road manners than the MTR's. They ride like an AT while having the aggressive tread of an MT. Love them so far.

Waiting to install:
Kurtfab reinforced diff bracket, just waiting for the rain to stop.
Solar panel
Battery charge monitor to prevent overcharging

I'll try to get some pics up after the rain stops. For now, here's a teaser:

I just put those tires on my Range Rover (275/65/18) about 2000 miles ago and like them a lot. Nice on road manners and a tread pattern sort of half way between an MT and an AT.

Good looking build!

Duratracs vs. Nitto's... It's more of a slaughter than a comparison...:ar15:

The pictures still don't do them justice but you can definitely see the difference. :wings:

they look great! time to black them wheels!
Thanks,
I have thought about it, but I don't know if I want the blacked out look. I have limo tint all the way around too so everything is really black already. The wheels and lights are basically the only things to offset it. If the blacked out look wasn't beat to death by every black rig on the road I would be more inclined.

Nice build!

Keep us posted on those new tires!

Keep up the good work!

:)

Thank you, I will be updating my build thread and the Duratrac thread after I get some miles on them.
