Just put 315-75-16 on my buddy's LX470. Did the ahc lift and put 80 rear springs in. Seems to work okay. Not sure when we are going out 4wheeling, might not be til spring time.

you know, the Dude abides
I drove my LX today to celebrate the AHC delete victory :) It was an epic battle, but the truck rides on metal springs and torsion bars now. I made some mistakes, got sent the wrong parts, exploded sockets, snapped extensions, cut holes in the floor of my Lexus, heated the rear torsion mounts to several hundred degrees etcetera over the course of a week or two. Now I'm going to spend my spare time sipping adult beverages by the fireplace for a couple of days.

The current state is 21" center of front hub to fender lip, 20" rear. TJM XGS torsion bars with 80 series rear shocks in front, used 80 series coils with YJ Wrangler front shocks in the rear. Long story how I ended up with this configuration, but at 21" in the front I have 2.5" compression and 2.5" droop. In the rear the YJ shocks give me 1" more droop than 80 series shocks. I ordered quantity 4x30mm coil spacers from Man-A-Fre. Hoping to end up at 21-21.5" front 23" rear.

I feel like I'm getting the most out of the front suspension, but it was a lot of work, and I'm not sure that I care now. In the end it would have been easier to order a kit :) It is an Ohio truck, hope yours is easier to work with man!

i hope i dont have to overheat the torsion mounts, theres no real way to rehab them back to oe strength.

why did you have to chop holes in the floor?

yes why?? I have been debating this switch also from the AHC to standard susp. (I plan on going old man emu). I also live in the great rust region (northeast part of the country) very worried about the rust :(

dont be worried about rust here. its a 100% certainty.

the adventure continues...

i decided on doing the lift if only because i want to move this truck to 35's..

not really being able to pin down how much more load i needed for all the weight i carry, i decided to go for the ironman extra constant. if i didnt like it, a couple hundy later and i could have lighter springs in.
so i ordered the kit from Cruiserparts.
it turned out Ironman was pulling out of the US market, and they could not drop ship the torsion bars. so, i just figured ******, sub in EMU. when the parts showed, i had EMU bars AND shocks, and only ironman rear springs, in constant load not extra as ordered.

once again, i really didnt give a ****. i was on the fence with the spring loads, and twin tube shocks are twin tube shocks. my only regret was, Cruiser Outfitters was going to be my choice if i went EMU, and he didnt get the order. not a knock on cruiser parts, but kurt offers up good advise here free, and ive never returned the favor by buying something. He'll get the regear order.

im glad i didnt get the extra constant. i have 1/2 the armor off, and i dont think its going to make much difference when on. i need the extra 400 pounds of gear to soften up the ride. in addition, the sway bars are off, and i dont see a need to replace them. maybe after the RTT is remounted, but i doubt it. i have less lean now, 2-3" higher, than when i had the AHC and sway bars connected. the EMU sport valving seems a tad aggressive now, but they will likely be more in tune when the truck is reset with load. i hope. i maybe should have picked up the rancho 9000 or koni's i have on the G.

i will say, im going to miss the AHC ride quality. :( the emu/ironman stuff is "pickup truck" basic in design. theres NO attempt to deal with high speed bumps/expansion joints. i see a 2007 lx470 in my near future.

Next up will be the Harrop e-lockers and a 4:88's. maybe next month.

they have a warehouse and vendors drop ship everything from there. NO one moves enough product to keep a full stocking distributorship themselves. i could be wrong, but im betting there are bigger issues. theres really NOTHING to reorganize.

I've given up on ever buying anything from Iron Man 4x4. Each time I've called Camel 4x4 I leave a voice mail and no one ever calls back. The same goes for sending e-mails. Go spend your money with someone who's more than willing to take it.

Looking for bigger rocks.
I wouldn't give up on Ironman yet... I just got this press release emailed to me:
