100 series factory Aux tank

This project got side tracked by a Death Valley trip and a leaky pan gasket on our FJ60. I ordered a few bits and pieces today to build a circuit that will send Georges "ECU" the empty signal, the 100 sending unit does not have that feature. I'll build a prototype PCB Monday and see how my idea works. I should have the 60 done this weekend and I'll have time to play with this project again next week.

Okay, I've been lax.
Here is the update. After looking at how low my spare would ride with the tire carrier in the new lower position I decided that the only way I would wheel the truck is if there were a rear bumper tire rack. The lowered tire carrier may have worked fine with the OEM size tire for a mall crawler but not for what we do.

Rear bumper + aux tank + Big spare= suspension up grade.
And the truck would look silly with one upgraded bumper.

With the cost increasing exponential I decided to put the whole project on hold.

Wow. After reading 15 pages of this thread, on a very slow internet connection, the ending really sucks. Hope fully someone will post up or take over adding to this thread.

Seriously though, I have added a complete OEM Subtank to my US Spec 80 Series and can't live without it. I am looking to buy a 100 Series real soon & I am thinking that I will need to do this mod to a 100 series too.

Does anyone have any info on the 105 series sub tank? I may be able to get one but want to see if it is even compatible.

Will a 105 series subtank fit in the 100 series frame? Could anyone possibly post a parts schematic/diagram for a 105 series so that I can compare.

Thanks!
