I suppose it boils down to market.

The Sprinter fest might be good for parts suppliers but not van builders. Even then, most of the people attending already have vans and conversions.

I would bet the van builders are better off going to RV shows or sporting events (Mountain bike, Kayak, etc) Places where there are people without vans currently.

True, but it still gets Sprinter owners talking about the support X company provides to the community when X company shows up, even if X company isn't selling anything. Perhaps because the event is at Sprinter Store, X companies don't feel welcome attending. However, there were some other supporting vendors at the event so I know the latter isn't the way it is.

<staying off my soapbox further...>

Kim and I enjoyed meeting all the awesome van folks and hope we had a chance to answer everyone's questions. We are a Mom & Pop business that is building our inventory of components designed for the DIY converter. We built our 2010 3500 Sprinter with the intention of developing products that would benefit others. It has been great fun meeting all of you.

I am a mechanical engineer with extensive design experience in automotive and construction equipment industries. Our company started as a 3D CAD implementation consulting firm and has transitioned into a manufacturing company. I still enjoy doing design/CAD work for hire and currently do product development and tool design for a company that makes carbon fiber composite parts. Through the years I had the good fortune to see the design engineering process evolve from hand drawn smelly blueprints to the 3D printed parts we enjoy today.

Kim manages the financial side of our business. Her experience is in banking and she was office manager for our local COOP for many years. She handles all your orders and makes sure things get shipped out promptly and efficiently.

We both look forward to helping more folks build their get-out-there vehicle.
