Was thinking the same thing. It's a bit of a puzzle to me how many diesel conversions are put up for sale not long after they're completed - can't tell if the owners didn't realize the trade-offs, didn't use an appropriate engine for the power band they wanted to end up with, or didn't do/get a good job on the actual conversion.

This wasn't a conversion, it should be the "factory" nissan diesel.

They were notoriously slow, but hey it's a diesel!

I believe diesel motor was only available in the 1980 final year of Scout production.

It was a slug, not unlike the GM 6.2L diesel of the 80's but it got 20mpg on the freeway

close, but not quite...the SD33 (non turbo Nissan) was available for a '76-'79 (and was a slug) and the last year, 1980, the diesel was a SD33T (you guessed it, the same Nissan motor, just turbo charged and less of a slug and could be tuned for a bit more).
