1980 Toyota Dolphin 4x4 RV...YES 4X4...Very Rare.

The car has a branded title due to being donated by the couple. All donated vehicles recieve a branded title. It has no apparent accident damage, and had a previous clean title as per the seller.

I have been having a hard time finding any information regarding these vehicles and the history of them. I tried to do a carfax, but it has to be 1981 or newer.

As I said the drivetrain and chasis seem great, minus the tired underpowered motor. The body and interior could use some work.

So if you are looking for a very rare project this would be a great buy.

Thanks,
Scott

Forgot to mention I got bored yesterday and began working on some of the dryrot, and I will be resealing the seams with fresh silcone sealer this week. I will probably be putting some work into it this week and putting on Ebay on Sunday. My Girlfriend wants to put her touch on the interior...:Wow1:...I wonder what that means?

Not to hijack the thread, but one that looks kinda-sorta like in the picture above is for sale here in Rome, Georgia.

Not trying to hijack thread either, but some useful info hopefully;

I have always loved the idea of a 4WD Toy mini-motorhome, and have looked at and almost bought several. They are rare, and usually bring pretty good money. The above referenced website is a great resource.

My father has had several Toy motorhomes similar to this. His have all been 2wds, but even with the 22RE (EFI), they were totally and absolutely gutless. (This from a die-hard 22RE fan.) Just too much weight. Forget about using AC going up a grade.

The body on this one is a pre-79 body style. The coach body may be from 1980, but the truck body is pre-79, and therefore pre-factory 4wd. Interestingly, the suspension looks all factory Toy 4wd from 79-85.

Good luck with the sale. Would make someone a very cool expo rig. Too much project for me.

That's good that it's upgraded to the 6-luggies. It's the number one concern with Toyota MH to loose that infamous weak 5s. Now it officially has the strongest axle available for this MHs and much less worry for the buyer. That will be a great buy.

I have had a lot if interest but no bites. It will be on good ole ebay this weekend. This is very much a project, but definitely a valuable one for someone.

I will post a link when it goes on ebay if anyone is interested in bidding.

Just put it on ebay the other day...has 40 people watching on the first day.

Just search 4x4 dolphin in the motors section.

Thanks,
Scott
