Wow. I always wanted to build something like that back when I was in my 20s but never had the $$. I did manage to build a '64 Scout that was very similarly set up - Chevy 327 + SM465+Dana 300 + Warn OD & D44s with PowrLoks. Never looked as clean as this one though! (never got around to the interior or the paint)

Yeah, I´m close to 50 and my interest for the 70s and 80s just gets bigger and bigger #nostalgia
Thats why the Jeeps needs to have period correct accesories, like the winch and those ******** Cepek Off Roader driving lights !

That's awesome!
I bought a project '85 Scrambler from a friend for the purpose of rebuilding into a dedicated camping rig. The memories of how many hours I put into rebuilding my '76 CJ7 15 years ago had obviously faded. I realized that I was going to be sinking $10-15k just in missing parts and my dreams are bigger than my ambition. Fortunately, he bought it back.
I ended up buying a used 2017 JKU with an Ursa Minor. That was essentially what I was wanting to build.
Kudo's to you! Looking forward to seeing where this goes!

As everyone else said, gorgeous. I love how you kept the original styling with the simple front bumper, lights, and... is that a PTO Winch? Just Gorgeous. That'll be a fun camping and exploring rig!
