Drool, what sized tires are these?

Wow! That is one fine looking 80! I wonder, realistically, what it would cost to take my truck to someone to do a camper top conversion like that professionally.

Up...I hope to get it out on the trails soon!

And add one more interesting aspect to the 3FE conversion....Right hand drive....:coffeedrink:

Honestly...my 2F runs great, and hasn't missed a beat. I've got an HEI distributor sitting in the garage; waiting for a spring day to be put in...so I'll likely keep is simple...

I'm tentatively planning a trip to Colorado to run some alpine passes in late July. It would be super cool if you guys wanted meet up again and check some trails out. Who knows though, with the snowpack they are getting up there this year, it might not even be clear by then.

I think it's going to be a short window for running those trails.....July may be too soon for stuff like Black Bear....

I'll keep it in mind...that'd be fun!

How did you mount the rear seat? I have been wanting to mount a rear Beard bench seat in my 40 but I fear deep inside that I should mount it into the cage. I never run the hardtop on my rig and have this terror of getting in a crash and the rear seat cutting loose from the floorboard. I guess now that it is no longer a "rockcrawler" it isn't as big of a concern.

The seat isn't in yet....I'll show the mountings a bit better when I actually fit it. It will be bolted to the tub using some spreader plates. I guess my feeling is that if a crash is powerful enough to rip large mounting plates through the body tub....likely the pitifully soft humans inside don't stand much of a chance...

255/100R16 XZLs?!

The quesion was half-way rhetorical, but half-way I really didn't know for sure. XZLs? Have got to get me some of these (and more lift too).

OME with the Dakar Springs....Kurt sells 'em....

So far, the ride is really nice, even more so now that it's breaking in a bit.
