Luckily, my wife is performing in a local Nutcracker dance, so I have some time in the garage after the little one's in bed....started the interior last night!

First, a better pic of the new shoes!

I went with the Specter Off Road Moulded Carpet set....only color choice was grey, and put some 3/8" carpet padding underneath the front. The rear is carpet over a rubber bed mat I found on sale at the local Pep Boys...cut to fit...

I'll likely rubberize the rear fender wells, and go with more carpet on the front-rear section of the fender wells. So far it looks nice, I need to finish bolting the seats, rear heater, and shifter boots in....maybe tonight....

I decided to keep the interior insulation simple, for now....I'll see how it works. Plus, I've got some electrical stuff to wire up, routing it under the carpet, so I thought this might be easier....

Looks great Andrew. Your kicking butt on that thing. You've motivated me to go get the steel/swing outs and other little parts for me to start my HJ45 bumper build. I'm almost ready to start.

Um...yeah....:bigbossHL:

Build date 9/82....which makes it a 1983 model...

...wanna just build two bumpers? :ylsmoke:

I've got three other boxes of odds and ends...mirrors, locks, door latches, hood latches, etc. to get installed too!

Then there's the rear seat, cargo area, rollbar, cargo barrier etc....

Okay all this talk about rear seats and cargo barriers... Do you have some sort of secret roof-top-tent you're not telling us about? Where will you be sleeping, sir!?

Ah, young grasshopper....

Rear seatback will fold flat, leaving room for about a 7' sleeping platform. Cargo barrier will be a high strength cargo net on the rollbar, which can be taken down to sleep inside...

...at least that's what I visualize...:chowtime:

Call me about your bumper. I wonder how different they are from the rear, in regards to over hang and such.

Any plans regarding paint? Or adding your own adverts on the side?
