1983 FJ45 Troop Carrier Buildup

Awesome build up so far...

I would like to hear about how you sourced this rig (did you take a trip to OZ and fall in love with it?), and after the purchase price, shipping and getting a title how much do you have invested in it. I've heard they are inexpensive to buy in OZ, and I've always wondered why more people don't bring them over. I guess I always assumed that after the shipping and title expense it would be the same price to just get one off eBay that is already in the US and titled.

I'll do a write up of how/where I sourced it once the title company is done with the registration, etc., and let everyone know how I procured it....for better or worse....

I didn't do the importing myself; however.

I'm likely going to respray it in the factory color. I'm not interested in an $8000 restoration paint job, because it is still a field rig, and the interior paint is in good condition.

I'm not much of an "advertising" attorney...my business is referral only...and I have plenty of work...so no ambulance chasing on the sides...

Now...the SAR stuff would be cool! I don't know if the Sheriff would go for it, though....
