Hey there. Long time lurker, but this is my first post.
Im putting my 1989 G20 van up for sale. This is a truck that started it's life in Texas, went to New Mexico, then spent the past two years in Ohio. Absolutely zero rust anywhere on her. The body is in really good shape, with a couple small dings here and there. The interior is very basic, but good enough for cruising and camping. This has been my only vehicle and DD for the past year. The van is not perfect, and needs a few things, but a great way to get in a 4x4 van for a good price. It's taken my wife and I on a bunch of camping trips and unstoppable offroad This thing is seriously capable.
I built this, and know it inside and out. I will not remember to list everything, so if you have any specific questions, just ask.
Here are the mechanical details of the build:
-350 engine, 700r4 trans, np241 transfer case, 4.10 gears
-14 bolt full floater rear axle, Dana 44 front axle
-new Warn manual locking hubs
-315/75R16 KO2s with very fresh rubber on ProComp Rockcrawler steelies
-rear disc brake swap with braided stainless lines
-Bilsteins all around
-single side exit flowmaster with the cat (very nice sound, not too loud)
- HS9500 Warn winch up front with a 2" receiver on each end.
-Bilstein steering stabilizer
-realistically probably 8" of all spring lift, although Im not sure. Custom spring packs, with rear shackle flip. This thing will carry some serious weight. I carry motorcycles on the front and rear hitches all the time.
Im sure Im forgetting a million things, but thats the basic rundown. Everything I touched got replaced with new. No corners were cut, as I was building this as a "lifetime" rig. Im attaching a bunch of pictures (and some from the build, so you get an idea as to the build quality)
We've used it for camping, roadtripping, scuba diving, rock climbing, hauling motocross bikes, and I used it once as an ambulance to rescue a kid with a broken leg a mile or so back in the woods.
The BAD:
-There is a slow drip from the pinion seal. I have the seal, just haven't gotten around to the job yet.
-I have not had it on an alignment rack since the conversion was finished, so that wouldn't be a bad idea.
-Interior is not that of a show vehicle. It is a 29 year old rig, and the interior shows it.
**Im looking for $9500 obo**
** OR ill consider trades for legitimate 4wd daily driver FULL SIZE diesel truck.**
feel free to call or text me 513-708-6173
