That's a great idea! I may steal it too!

Who put together your rear bumper? IIRC it was someone in Arizona?

I'll get the pics up soon Andrew, so you can see it. Yes, the bumper was put together by a friend in Tucson. I met him in DV Nov' 07 and we emailed back and forth for a while. Sent him sketches and he had it commercially bent out of one piece of 3/16" plate steel and then laser cut the ends which we used for side guards. Much better and lighter than my 1/4" 1st generation...all welded together.

I'd mention him here but I do not think he wants it getting around, nor making another one. If you need to know, email me.

El Gringo Spectacular!
Will do. I really like the design, and would love to get the weight of my rear tire off of the door.

When I'm ready to pull the trigger I'll PM you.

Gracias,

-H-

I like your spigot idea.

I needed easy access to water for the dog and had an old camper sink pump. This works well for us.

New Seat Covers

Well I finally got them from OZ.

Checked out all the seat cover manufacturers in Kanukistan, Yanksville and S. Africa and found none that would guarantee a fit, or the shipping made the purchase prohibitive. I checked out the Hawaiian company and Slee's, and Spector's, etc. Then found Inland Australia.

Here are some shots, good fit, a bit stiff but will soften with time, heat in the truck and everyday use. Easy install and generally a great fit.

Inland had not made these covers for a 73 series before so had to go out and look for one that they could make a template from. I suggested a 75 series of any 70 series of similar vintage that had the high end package like the 73s do, would do. And presto, they had a template made and I am the first to benefit. Thanks so much Inland and especially Nick Cannella, GM for OZ.
