1991 Chevrolet V3500 Crew Cab with 2001 Hallmark Cuchara

Truck and camper are located in FAIRBANKS AK, and I'll sell the truck without the camper ($17,000) or as a combo ($25,000) but not the camper alone. The boarder is open! This truck has been a labor of love the past 8 years, but is too small for our growing family. I will link the build thread on another forum as there is entirely too much done to list here.

But the highlights:

1991 V3500 One ton single rear wheel crew cab 8' bed
Factory 5.7 TBI V8, 4L80e transmission, NP205 with vss transfer case, 14 bolt 10.5" ring gear rear (open), dana 60 front (open) 4.56:1 axle gears
Installed in 2016 rebuilt L29 7.4 MPFI with comp cams RV roller cam, roller rockers, valve spring rotator eliminators, LS1 injectors, billet distributor, valve job, new valve guide seals, thorley tri-y headers, into 3.5" single exhaust with magnaflow catalytic converter and muffler, Howell harness, custom PCM tune. Motor cleaned up with a hone and polish on the crank (by machine shop not me) and received new oil pump, water pump, sensors and probably 100 other small parts I'm forgetting. High pressure pollack fuel selector valve and new GM in-tank pumps for ~60 psi fuel supply. Rebuilt (a couple times 4L80e) and rebuilt NP205. Receipts for everything.

Suspension primarily by off road design. Front custom springs 4" lift, rear 2.5" shackle flip with ORD shackles and 1" zero rate. Bilstein 5100's with extended mounts up front. Sway bar correction / disconnect. Steering brace. New rear HD springs without overloads and I think 11 or 12 leaves. B&W 12k lbs receiver hitch, 7 pin connector on bumper and another in the bed for the camper. Wheel vintiques 16x8 steel wheels (5), and 315/75R16 Cooper ST Maxx siped for winter driving. Block heater, oil pain heater, trans pan heater, battery trickle chargers. Warn front receiver holds spare tire holder with another 315/75R16 on it. I don't usually bring it on short trips because these tires have been very tough. I keep a plug kit and viair compressor along usually instead. NFAB steps.

Interior has all factory gauges working, plus trans temp, oil temp and tach on the a-pillar. Tilt steering wheel, suburban front seats with arm rests and center console. Rear factory bench. Seat heaters for all positions except the middle rear. All new seat covers with vinyl backs for easy cleaning. USB and 12v ports all over the place with bluesea marine parts. Vintage air A/C with new OEM compressor matched to the L29. Alpine CD player with bluetooth and hands free calling. JL audio 5 channel amp, 6.5" front in the kick pannels, 6x9 at rear cab corners, and pair of 8w6 subs behind the seat. Sounds good. Viper 2 way auto start.

2 big napa batteries with painless wiring disconnect solenoid. Bussman fused and relayed power centers - one constant and one on the ignition switch. Very clean wiring for what it is. Hella fog lights, LED light bar, LED backup lights.

Camper is a well-used but functional 2001 Hallmark Cuchara. 100w solar, duracell 6v golf cart batteries in series, Dometic 2 way compressor fridge. Boondocker 30 amp power center. Bluesea 12v and usb plugs with digirtal volt meter. Digital thermostat for the furnace. Fantastic fan and two new shaded vents. Queen east/west bed cabover with lots of storage underneath. Indoor and outdoor hot showers, flush toilet with black tank. Two sinks, propane stove / oven combo. Pretty basic tank level monitor for fresh, gray and black tanks. Power roof lift. Rubber roof. LED interior and exterior lights. I've kept up on annual cheaning and treatment of the rubber roof and fixing nicks in the rubber or cracks in the caulking. The roof droops a little at the front and rear outside of the lifting structure but doesn't leak and I think will last for many more years. I store the camper under a carport out of the weather when not in use. Dinette converts to a bed that I can lay in (6'2") and there is a home made bunk bed that can be installed over the top of it.

All the stuff I would fix:
If you want to pull a trailer with the camper on, it needs a bigger transmission cooler. I had to baby it with our 21' aluminum jet boat behind the truck.
The radiator weeps when it sits. I've had this &@(!# spectre radiator replaced several times and brazed on. It will go weeks without dripping and then start leaving little puddles. It holds 9 gallons of coolant so it's pretty expensive to keep dropping it to mess with the aftermarket radiators from another country.
The vintage air needs to be charged up each spring. I've never found a leak with the squirt bottle and soapy water as it must be very slow. It is terrible at defrosting when it's cold and moist. There is no fresh air option - just recirculate. I sometimes open the passenger vent to help clear the windows but then your feet get colt. The seat heaters will burn your rear.
The cap on the master cylinder leaks when it gets hot under the hood. Never have figured this out - minor annoyance.
Truck needs paint one of these days. This will be expensive as it's big. Lots of surface rust on the roof but the body is really solid. It has early 90's self-removing primer so the paint just falls off.
9-10 MPG if you keep your foot out of it. It's very fun to drive so this can be hard. Doesn't matter if the camper is on or not. Autostart can really wreck the mileage but it heats up fast.
Dask and some of the interior plastic has cracks in it. We use the heck out of this truck so it's a little dirtier than the pics. If someone's interested I took a bunch more detailed photos last winter inside and out.

Hi guys, thank you for the compliments. Sorry, no I'm not interested in any trades. Yes truck is still for sale. I think we are going to keep the camper for the time being as replacements aren't readily available or affordable. If you are interested in the truck message me and I'll send a bunch more pictures. It's about to be my daily driver again as we are going to list the diesel 3500 for sale and tried to order another gasser.

Yep it’s been my daily driver for a good chunk of the winter. I haven’t been trying to sell it but fixing to start trying as it’s replacement is due in to the dealer in the next couple weeks.

holler if you want to take it for a drive. What part of Alaska are you in?
