LOL....yeah, I still have to shut the hood!

Oh boy, if my rotor was wobbling.....oh man. That is not a pleasant thought. It's new, but I guess there could be bigger problems lurking!

Unfortunately, new does not always mean "perfect".....

No, it sure does not. Checked out the rotor and it has .010 thousandths run out. I would think that's acceptable, maybe pushing it but I'm not sure I would equate that to the wear seen in the pads, you? I am going to check it again though, I was moving fast as I have to get to my daughters choir concert tonight. When I set the bearings and replaced the rotor I was able to get them to a pain staking .001 worth of play. There should not be much unintended movement.

Considering I had already rebuilt the caliper and put on new pads/pistons in a few months ago and now they are pretty much toast . I ordered a loaded (with everything) caliper which should be an actual Bendix caliper. At the time I remove the existing caliper I am going to check for blockages in the remaining 3 feet of brakes lines and bleed it yet again. I am also going to take measurements of the castings and bores to compare them. Maybe I can find the culprit behind what's happening.

Okay, new loaded caliper arrived from Rock Auto. Everything looked good upon removal, I removed the factory curved line from around the differential, found no debris at the T nothing in the curved factory line or in the new flex line. The "original" caliper and the replacement measured up identical from what I measured. Removed fittings from the caliper and found no debris.

Went to put on the new caliper and the new freaking inner pad was soo thick I could not get it on the rotor! If it was an 1/8 inch thinner I might be able to get it on with a hammer with the pistons pushed all the way back! I Sent a message to Rock Auto....now I wait to see what they say.

Long story short, I know what it's not! It's not the T, the factory line or the flex line to the caliper.

Doing a bit of work on the new bumper too, I can't wait to get it on the truck. Testing for fit and picked up some steel today.

No worries, it will not be crooked in the end!

That looks nice, Scooter! Just the perfect width and it seems to hug the front profile better, on your International, than on my Freightliner. I look forward to seeing how you mount it.

Is your wife pleased with it, now that she can see it in person?

Good luck with your return. I have piss poor luck with Rock Auto. I won't buy from them again.

Is it possible there are two different thickness rotors and/or brake pads for your truck?

I have, it the past, (not saying it's right or the correct way) shaved down a new brake pad to fit. Not more than 1/8", though. A few scrubs on a rough textured concrete floor or a belt sander works well to scuff off a bit of the friction material.

That looks nice, Scooter!

I thought Scooter picked an interesting shirt for working in the garage... :sombrero:

Lol.....come on that's my wife giving me a hand! Thanks Ross, I think it's going to snug up better than expected. I may have gotten lucky on the space for a winch as well. I think I will have enough space behind the bumper to keep the bumper pretty close. Bought some 5x5 3/8 angle for the initial supports and then plan to box the inner bumper frame in. It will be a work in progress of course.

The rotor thicknesses are all the same, so I don't think that's a problem. Checked the local Napa store and there brake pads for my truck are around 7/8 which would work fine. They are $109.00 bucks though!

Yes, wife thinks it is pretty awesome. She does not care for helping me lift it into place though!

Well; as you've said, Rock Auto has not been very helpful. They tell me to send it all back and get a replacement. Who knows what I will get again. So, I started sanding and it's not fun. It's going to take more than 1/4 inch to get the caliper to slide on easily. Gotta pick up some more sanding belts but I'm getting close to making them fit.
