by this time Christmas was just about here so early November , my girl being the top chick she is purchased a calmini 3" flex kit front truss kit and steering stabilizer , calmini freighted it out to us and we installed it December 15 2013

suspension and wheels fitted , painted And ready to wheel

Since this pic....... we have wheeled around 2000kms of our home state , fitted a low range offroad 2" body lift giving us a total lift of around 7" over standard its been a perfect vehicle for us to get away for a few days .

After lots of searching on here i've finally found a Vitara build I want to follow. Looks like you have a good vehicle here. I'm interested in the cost of the lift kits along with some of the later mods you have added. Also interested in how the vehicle perform in terms of on road and off road. If you would do it again, what would you do it differently?

I'm in a bit of bind. Just purchased some land to develop into my mountain getaway/rustic hotel for guests. It's located in the central highland of Vietnam. The road to my plot is about 3km of rocky track which depending on the rain, is doable in a non-4wd vehicle but it's slow going. I want to get a cheap 4wd vehicle to use why i'm on site and also running back and forth from town (15km paved roads). Not planning to do lots of rock climbing so it doesnt need to have the capability. Just being able to haul a few people and occasion tools, perhaps a small trailer.

After looking at the options: Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi (different models), old Jeeps, and Suzuki. I've found the Vitara a good fit. It's fairly expensive here (10,000 USD for a 2004 with 50,000km). I want to use the Vitara as the base to add on a lift, tires, and better lights.

Dont want to go all crazy because I want to save the budget for the property itself. Be great if you could share your pointers.
