well, after much discussion we have decided to add the camper to the package and see if anyone is interested in an expedition ready vehicle for $85k (truck plus camper, truck info in first post), significantly cheaper than a built out sprinter, and depending on your needs roomier and more capable.
Some information about the camper: (see images for camper specs from factory)
-1998 Bigfoot 30C10.11 - This is a great layout. The bathroom and closet create a lot of separation between the large bed/bedroom (overcab) and the dinette/kitchen
- See images for camper specs, but most important is full dry bath (separate shower), 38 gallon freshwater, power jacks
- We have added 300 watts of solar panel to the roof (2x 150 watt panels)
- 300 amp hours of lithium ion batterys
- 3000 watt Victron hybrid inverter
- Victron solar charge controller
- Victron DC-DC charger
- All Victron components bluetooth enabled to connect to the app
- Addition plug installed for added mobile solar panels to increase solar capacity
- Guzzle H2O water filter with LED UVC and seperate water faucet for drinking water
- 2x 20 lb propane tanks
- New memory foam mattress
- Camper interior fully repainted in 2023
- USB A and C outlets installed at dinette for easy charging of devices
- Locks on all drawers to keep them closed while driving
We have a baby and have found this camper to be amazing for a family of 3 or 4. The only issues with the camper currently are that the hot water heater has a fitting leak so it is currently bypassed. If we keep the camper I will either rebuild existing unit or replace with 12v only hot water tank.
