1999 Montero Wheel/Tire Questions

I joined this site a couple of weeks ago, I own a 2000 Montero Sport and enjoy it very much, it's a great vehicle and I've owned many different makes of 4X4's.
I've checked out lots of 4X4 sites over the past few years and have to say: This site contains a wealth of valuble info and from what I've read so far (both questions and replies) you all seem very knowledgable and know what you're talking about.
That tire size calculator link is great, thanks for posting that! :smiley_drive:

Maybe you should have posted this into it's own thread?:ylsmoke:

Just sayin... <GRIN> Oh, and welcome.

The stock wheel should be 15x7 and this should be either stamped or cast into the wheel as required by law.:coffee:

Has anyone run a 15x10 wheel with 33x12.5x15 tires on their Gen 2 / 2.5 without a lift?

If so..any rubbing issues?

Thank you.

Not a x10, but i run a 15x8.5 with that size. Offset pretty low in my case, would not clear offroad without a lift.

I suspect 10s would be at least as much "poke" even with highest possible offset for inboard clearance.

Got a line on some cheap x10s?

Yeah...my brother in law has a buddy selling a set of wheels off his 2003 Tacoma. Thinking of scooping them up...just have to bore out the center bore of the wheels 2mm.

Not sure why you would want a 15x10, they serve no purpose and are far more likely to lose a bead when aired down, not to mention you will take a 2-3 mpg hit and increase stopping distance.

My intention was getting some input on running this setup...its not something I am actively looking to get, but the opportunity has presented itself to get this wheel and tire package. If its something I decide to get and ride on them for a bit and not like them...I can easily resell them and make $$$ to put towards a better wheel and tire package.
