Wow, I bet that changed your COG quite a bit.

The front is about 5 inches wider overall than it was before so I added some 2" spacers in the rear to almost even it out. It feels much more stable than before with the wider stance and with all the added suspension travel, its a completely different truck - and I love it even more now that ever before, which is hard to believe.

Not sure but I think he was talking about your soft top over the heavy fiberglass with glass window top. The Blazeland is a sweet kit and feels stable even without sway bars

Oh, I guess you're right - I didn't think of that because I haven't had the fiberglass top on for over 9 years. Before the Softtopper I had a Downey Bikini top the previous 9 years. Thats why that comment went right over my head :)

i can't believe its been over a year since I added any updates to my 4Runner. Although I didn't to many mods, what I did do has been pretty significant!

Looks like my last update (page 45) was right after I got new tires/rims. Since then........

After much debate, I got a Softopper and it was the best decidion ever:

Which has been perfect for single night camping trips too:

I also installed a Blazeland Long Travel front suspension:

Before-see how the tires are actually UNDER the truck:

During:

Parts- New vs Old:

Finished product - Tires no longer under the truck so much anymore:

Even had a chance to get it on an RTI Ramp - I didn't get an actual score though:

Link to the suspension setup/build with more picture? Looking to get along travel front end for mine as well. Thanks for any information you may have .

87 4runner. Bought it and replaced the motor 2 days later. Had a lot of fun in the fairly stock form but then got pretty serious.

Slapped on some tundra wheels and MTRs

I think I like the idea of that long travel IFS for my 4Runner more than the SAS.......that stuff looks pretty sweet!

Thanks for posting the video clip of it in action!

It's funny everyone with a 22re talks crap about the 3.0 but I see more 22re get rebuilt than anything else. If people rebuilt the 3.0 and maintaine it the same. Both will last just as long and one does have more power. My 88 runner 3.0 sits around 235xxx miles and engine has never been open. Original head gasket ad doesn't fall under recall. There is a stretch of highway going up hill to a trail I wheel with friends as they all have 22re trucks which is lighter than my 3.0 runner. Guess who makes it to the top 1st and with like 5-10 mins of wait time.
