2.7l too small for expo truck?

Absolutely. Keep the truck light and the tire size modest. How many of us have traveled with a 22R with no issues? Go for it!

I wish I had the 2.7l, but I'm happy with my 22r stock 32 year old never rebuilt engine in my 83. It's not about the destination, but the adventure along the way....

yea 90' 4Runner with 37's and 5.29 gears here ! I get about 12mpg while crawling , 16-18 mpg on highways ... if the little 22re can pull my heavy ***** then that 2.7 liter will do just fine ... look into some lower gears if you start feeling sluggish . Lower gears equals a good excuse for bigger tire too :wings:
