I had written this but now I give up. I can't load pics to save my life which completely defeats the purpose of this thread. I tried on my computer and iPhone so I don't know what to say.

So based off of some dimensions that were posted from one of the Aussie sites I made this View attachment 2001-2006 Mitsubishi Montero Strut Spacer Diagram 35mm.docx
One) just for reference if anyone is in the market or has the ability to make them. Please confirm all measurements and nothing shown is to scale.
Two) .... if anyone has the ability to measure the dimensions on any Toyota strut spacers that would be great because the rest of us could just search for "Toyota, year, model etc..." instead of the almost non-existent selection of strut spacers for Mitsubishis in America. And yes you can order spacers from Russia and Australia but it would be very convenient to simply purchase a product known to fit a Toyota, Nissan, whatever that is sold locally.

Key words for searching here on ExPo: Montero, Generation 3, Gen 3, Gen III, Gen 3.5, Mitsubishi, Strut Spacer, Lift Kit, leveling kit, 35mm

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
I have a Gen 3 now so i'll probably make some things, I have the drawing from KDJ too. I won't move on spacers until all of the idler arm kits are done and shipped, hang in there dudes. Got some nice coil springs for you till then or in case you want to be way more awesome.

-coffeegoat I appreciate that. Looks good enough for people to see the general idea. Obviously it is not a "real" mechanical drawing. I "borrowed" the spacer image and just added stuff. Just when I think I can do a few things on a computer I am proven wrong.
-Toasty, I would love some new springs but I am so damn cheap I may just do spacers. Are you saying that spacers should be used with modified idler arms? Some of these details are new to me.

Thank you both for the assistance and info.

Nice job Guys. This is a good cheap way to lift our monteros. I'm sure some people will use these if produced. I've had mine on for about 9 months now no regrets.

It has been surprisingly difficult to get sellers to measure their products. Like when I say, "95mm hole to hole" they answer with something like, " ours are 35mm thick," and then I have to politely tell them that I did not ask how thick they are... That is why I made a the diagram. There is a company called Texasflange.com that makes products that are exactly like what we are all looking for but they are for the plumbing industry. Not sure if they would make some spacers for a fair price or not.

OffroadMuch, do you know of a Australian company that makes the spacers? Like I said I just bought a gen 3 I had a 10 to just before that so the Gentry's are all new to me

And I found this out of Arizona:
http://www.airbagit.com/2006-2009-DODGE-RAM-1500-Leveling-Kits-for-struts-p/lev-str-mitsi.htm
No idea if this is any good. And no idea if they are good or bad for Monteros. Just sharing info. I know it says Dodge Ram but when you open it is says Mitsubishi. Maybe the measurements are the same?

Nice thanks. I think I will do the same and wait to see if there is a aluminum or stainless steel version somewhere. I'm not planning of doing any rock climbing but I live in Arizona so sooner or later I may have to scrambled a little. A 1 inch strut spacer with 33 " tires makes a big difference.

What size tires do you run?

Just got a reply from a manufacturing company. They can make them out of 6061 Aluminum with no hardware. Not sure about price. The more they can sell the cheaper they will be. This would be an easy deal. I am not very interested in being the middle man but I will relay what I hear from all of you who may be interested for an estimated number to produce. I think some guys from AZ are making some Monty parts now, maybe they could take this idea and run with it. I would be happy to connect them to who I am talking with. So let me know if you want to buy a set. We will have to figure out the exact hardware and the hole size dimensions and that should just about do it.
