2001 Mitsubishi Montero XLS Build (aka... Pajero / Shogun & Monty)

It's been FOREVER since I've used a forum (going back to my MR2 days on MR2OC.com)

Anyway... decided I'd post up here for the build that I've been doing. I'll try my best to keep it simple, and updated as it goes along.

Back story - purchased the vehicle from the 2nd or 3rd owner and drove it from AZ to IL (that was 3 years ago).

This vehicle is about to hit 200k this year....

Update...

Some of my plans were side-tracked as my transmission failed (just shy of 200,000 miles).

I've since had my local AAA shop (no sponsoring or paid endorsements) source a used transmission with 80k on it. They installed it and it's running great.

With that out of the way I was able to finish installing my custom made rear storage tray, develop a rear seat delete on the 40 split seat behind the driver to mount my cooler and 7 gallon water reservoir, installed a 22" LED light bar on the front bumper, installed a trailer hitch and wiring, and installed my Smittybilt RTT.

At this point, I'm set for some fun trips with my boys over Spring and Summer. Haven't decided what I'll do next. Maybe front / rear bumpers, paint job or more interior work.
