After an extended weekend away to visit our daughter in Vancouver B.C. (http://hollowsurfboards.blogspot.com/2015/02/vancouver-whistler-2-1317-2015.html), it is back to work...

(above) The under -sink area is close to being complete... New 12volt DC, on-demand propane water heater, new 110volt AC insta-hot water heater...

(above) The water supply from the tank has a better valve and an under-floor tank-drain valve is in place...

(above) The new tank is strapped to the wall with a pair of large hose clamps attached to the wall... The sink needs to be in place before completing this zone...

Are you going to keep the current evap cooler with the separate water reservoir, or replace it with one with no separate resevoir, like:
http://www.turbokool.com/ ?

For now we are keeping the existing one with separate tank. The jury is still out on how we like it. I have heard of an ac that may be able to be fed by batteries for long periods. 12 volt? I think EC may have mentioned is to me. I need to do some research.

You'll love that instant hot-water heater. I have the same unit (albeit with a different sink-top valve) in my kitchen and we use it daily.

I need clarification here. Will that instant water heater supply enough hot water for the shower?
Or will there be another larger one for that duty?
The reason I ask is my Camper used a 6 gallon propane water heater and I had to be careful how long I let the water run while showering or I'd get cold water before I were finished.
Even though it recovered quickly!
Once I got the timing down it wasn't a problem.

I'm hoping this one can keep up should the wife come along.

No, the tank is about a gallon. We use it for Tea and the like (without having to put a kettle on). At the setting we use, the water is just under boiling. Turned down, it would work great for instant dishwashing hot water, etc. when AC is available.

We will be using the larger instahot rv 550 by precision temp as shown by Paul. By reports from those who have used it I could have a nice and warm 60 gal shower if I wanted.

After finally saying " no more electrical" for a while, the shop got sorted out for carpentry...

P1100819.JPG

(above) The biggest thing that needed to be built was the "lounge" seating... I drew the plans full scale on brown paper and worked from that... The narrow door into the rear coach limits how much gets fully built in the shop...

The primary case plywood is all 1/2" thick...Backs and sides might be 1/4"...Yellow glue and gun nails...Corner strength where it needs it... Weird reflection?

P1100820.JPG

(above) Building it went fast...Designing took longer... Took less than a day to build the pair... Still more to do like storage access...

P1100822.JPG

(above) The foundation is laid...

P1100823.JPG

(above) Hand cut box joint on the tablesaw... No jigs...

The new water tank was Ground Zero for the seating design...Under the forward seat is all water tank, with a half inch to spare...

I put the old 3" foam pads on and the heights, lengths and angles feel good... Still a lot more to do...
Tomorrow the upper kitchen cabinet... Feels good doing carpentry again...

(above) 1/2" plywood with box joints cut and ready to assemble...

P1100827.JPG

(above) Yellow glue and gun nails... Overkill for a basic cabinet case...

P1100829.JPG

(above) Temporarily placed on the wall... The box-out for the wiring chase turned out good...

P1100830.JPG

(above) Nice to define the space...

P1100831.JPG

(above) There is quite a bit of storage potential up there now...

Next up: Wall cabinet behind the shower and the space behind the fridge...
