Said they where going to drop the price. But the owner does not seem trustworthy so I am no longer looking at it. I called the "dealership" they said that did all the work on it amd the number didn't work. Sketchy

Man prices vary around the county. An '04 is 9-11k around the PNW.

My thoughts exactly. I can't even find a rough '04 for under $8k or so in the midwest.

Spend the extra $4k on an LR3.

You won't regret it.

Maintenance records; the more the better.

It will need a head gasket job. Not if, when. If it's ever been run hot you'll eventually need a new engine. Some fail without even having been run hot.

Also, a front driveshaft with greaseable U-joints is a must. The stock unit will grenade and take out the transmission.

This x2! Ask me how I know. If you can get it cheap enough to put in a cannibal (or equivalent) engine though it would be ok. I loved mine until the liners started letting go.

Thanks everyone for the info. I'm going to call the dealership, that has done all the maintenance on it, tomorrow to see what has been replaced recently.
