Hey curious, did you ever buy/install those TRD longtube headers? Trying to tell from your pics above.
I have a set of long tubes. Looks just like your TRD but doesn't say TRD on them and they are stainless steel. Supposedly they are pre production set and was on a show truck with a supercharger.

Anyways. I would have to redo my entire exhaust system and was trying to get BAmuffler to help me with a compete new system from header back but with cats for smog and no cel. I got a quote for all the bent pipes to work but I would have to weld it all up.

With my upcoming trip to moab I didnt want to risk the down time so I haven't got to it yet. The quote was like $1000 plus welding it all up.

I really wanna get them installed but the welding up exhaust system is delaying me and they would weld it all up because they need the truck. They said they need my truck so they would have to install my headers as well at the time. I need to come up with a smog exempt sticker. Than there's the. It takes 8 hrs to weld up the system no including installing the headers. Looking at a pretty expensive system.

How did you do yours and does it still have the cats and no cel?

You going to Rock Therapy? I'm trying to get leave approved for it.

I am. Will be rolling out with Billy from brute force fab. You can check out his taco on one tons he just finishes building. We should be rolling with a 5th gen runner and another 2nd taco.

Hope to see you there. Love to check out your tundra on 35s!!!!!

Yah it's not a cheap system. BAMufflers sent me all the components and I had to get them welded together for the center section to mount up to the headers. I already had a Borla catback so that was easy and didnt need to be replaced. I installed the headers myself. My center section has Magnaflow hi-flow cats but I AM still throwing`an occasional P0430. I have 2 small pinhole leaks in the welds of my center section though and have a couple more tricks up my sleeve in the next couple weeks to get it fixed once and for all. It sounds absolutely glorious though... and the extra power is definitely worth the effort!

Yah its not cheap! I had a Borla catback already installed. So after I got the TRD headers I just needed the BAMufflers center section completed. I had him send me all the parts to build the center section to connect my headers to the Borla. I installed the headers myself and then took it to my buddies shop to have it fabbed together. I have a couple small pinhole leaks that will be addressed next week and some new upstream 02's on the way. With those newest additions I should be able to get rid of teh occasional P0430 code that I get. I am running magnaflow hi-flow cats... the sound and the power is worth it though. Very wicked (and rare) setup. Make sure you extend your 02 wire harness before you try to re-install them too. The headers put the upstream 02 further away than factory.

Ah so you have his set up. Good to know. Guess this maybe my next mod. I have a welder so I guess I better start practicing. Install the headers won't be an issue. I'm just worry about it pass smog with the cats pushed back makes them less efficient.

RT is the 1st weekend in June. Sounds like there will be a bunch of Tundras there this year.

Really?? Who else is going. Be sweet to get some more tundras out there

Yup. TRT is June 1

I'm going with my Tundra. Though, my build is just starting. I'll only have lift, tires, sliders and a bed rack by the time the event rolls around. Eventually my Tundra will match/surpass my Tacoma build.

Sweet. Hopefully we can camp together if you don't already have others to hang out with. We can line up all the tundras !! Hopefully Sean and others will make it too.

Looks to be less than 8 hours away. I'd love to wheel with a bunch of built Tundras.

Here is the main parts list for my OBS
I still have little parts to order for the shower part and bumper attachment.
I will list the rest once I have I figured out. The rest is actually the quick disconnects I plan to add to the rear bumpers for input and output from pump.

Let's just say the brass quick disconnects was not cheap. I wanna say they are mainly for hydraulic use.

The pump recommends using 1/2 hose. The heater hose on the tundra are 5/8. It's actually bigger but 5/8 is the closest size and fits well.

I installed the heat exchanger after the factory heater valve (allows you to adjust temperature via inside the cab via air heat temp knob) inline with the factory heater core. Your factory air heater will still work as normal when shower isn't in use.
I will explain how I did my hose plumbing but you can do yours differently.
Water jug sits on swing out. Hose goes into the jug and runs to the engine where pump is located. The pump sucks water in from jug to water strainer than pushing water into heat exchanger (important that you push water into heat exchanger and not pull water thru heat exchanger so you don't run extremely hot water into pump) and back out to the to the rear of vehicle where I can plug my shower hose and take a shower. Now with a 10 plate heat exchanger. One pass does get water to whatever temp you set the heater control too. Goal is to get to camp, idle engine and hook up two hoses to water jug and recirculate for 5-10 mins depending on desired temp. This way I can shower with warm water and not have an idling engine. My solar set up should keep battery charged while running pump.

Depending on how you want your fittings. I went with barb. I didn't want to mess with threaded pipes and finding correct fittings.

^^^^ sweet.

Doing some clearancing and it's only for 32s lol. Sad but I don't see how the guys with 33s don't rub or say it's minimal.
