Have you tried freezing the shaft? Get a duster air can for electronics and invert the can, then spray the shaft with the liquid CO2. The metal will shrink up a bit. I've gotten stuff unstuck before using that trick.
I might give that a try tomorrow. I did get a quote from CVJ who said they could build me what I want for $620 shipped 2 custom cv axles. If I send two oem cv axles I could get $170 back but I don't know if I wanna give up my oem axles lol

If you are going to spend that kind of dough on axles they best be for long travel LOL
Wow, that's a pretty intense mod. I assume the seat is not going back in over this? Looks good. Much better than any welding I could possibly do. I've only done it once and it was bad.
