Hey Fred, great looking rig! I just stumbled on this thread while browsing the site.

I sold my burgundy SAR jeep last year and just picked up a Pinzgauer to build as new rig. Should be fun ;)

Thanks Branden. I was really lucky to find this one. It is a great replacement for my JK. I just about have everything setup the way I want. Heading back to Northern Montana, Yellowstone and Tetons in Aug.

Your rig was setup very well. But, the Pinz will be cool. I like unique builds. ;)

A few hours of parking lot upgrades and reorganizing yesterday. Changed a few things in the passenger, front cooler storage compartment.

- Propane tank mounted in Powertank bracket. Old Jeep JK safari rack setup. Using available top storage space and saving useful floor space.
- Log splitter and axe mounted on side wall, using those Fist clamp thingys.
- 40 quart Grizzly Cooler is very easily accessible now.
- Added a plastic tub for firewood storage. Holds 4-5 bundles of wood. Easily removed to put near the fire pit.

I love this rig! I'm currently working on a tool bed to put on my 97 F250, mine is a single rear wheel with an Alaskan camper. My camper is wider behind the wheels so I've had to cut out a section on each side of the tool bed and box it back in to accommodate the dimensions of the Alaskan. It's a lot of work but I think it will be way worth it for all the extra storage. I'm curious about your propane tank, did you add it or did it come with the rig? I'm looking at adding a second LP tank and that looks pretty slick!
Keep up the good work

I carry 2 standard fullsize steel LP tanks. This lightweight, smaller tank was used with my JK. It is used for the Weber grill and a small propane fire pit.

Where did you get that back up camera? Looking to mount something like that on my camper, one for back up and up facing forward up top so I can judge height of oncoming obstructions that I might not clear.

Where and how are you running your wires for back up lights and camera inside your camper? We're looking at a popup like yours for an Alaska trip next year!

The LED backup lights wires are run along side the camper running lights; down to the battery bank and/or truck power.

The cameras power was taken from the already switched (on the dash) amber emergency and red LED search and rescue lights. I don't need those emergency lights, so it was easy power to steal right next to the cameras location.

Busy 8 hours of projects day.
● Removed TracVision A5 satellite TV dish, permanently (selling satellite, mounts, receiver and all accessories, if anyone knows someone - posting ad soon).
● Cleaned area, found a small roof leak and sealed everything up.
● Next is a good roof cleaning, once sealer dries completely.
● Removed PIAA lights from camper and installed the 2nd pair of matching LEDs. Bumper LEDs will keep the defuser covers. Upper lights will keep the clear covers, for serious long range daylight. Bring on the night!!
