New starter battery, replaces almost 11 year old previous Odyssey. Great batteries. Free battery hold-down bar. Eh, it will do, for free.

Very nice batteries! Just too much $$!

Not going to be using the truck much in the winter?

I've never owned another battery that lasted over 10 yrs.

Solar charger is a 15 sec setup to the 12V plug. Truck is still usable. Working on some Winter plans.

It's true. I have found they really don't like not being used every day or not on a trickle charger.

Winter camping ******! I do like th cord free battery tender idea.

I start it every weekend, and drive it to work at least once monthly, during the late Fall/Winter months.

Funny because a buddy of mine was complaining about batteries and that he goes through them in what seems like a yearly basis. Few days later my truck wouldn't start. I asked him to come give me a jump. While we were standing there situating the trucks, I was complaining about my batteries. We popped the hood, and he looked at my Optima Red Top and gasped and said "This thing is over 9 years old and you're complaining about it!?!?!"

I'm thinking it pays to have better batteries in the long run

Yes it does. Batteries are not a place to skimp on spending. They can get you home, or not.

Matching/twin ARB 2500x2500 awnings arrived. Installing 1 on each side of the camper, as soon as the weather gives me a clear window.

Nice, I would use those over rv awnings too, but I can't reach them up there!

Hahaha. That could be true. Luckily I am installing them just below the pop-top portion of the camper. Any higher and the awnings become useless. Had 6' ARB awnings on my Excursion and JK, prior; loved them.
