I have an 06 sport with the v8, so it's full time in 4Hi. I hit the center diff lock the other day and it wouldn't engage. My shop is telling me it's the encoder motor and the part alone is $1700!! Anyone have experience and/or a part number? It seems crazy to me that a small motor costs that much. My google searches aren't turning up anything.

I had a similar issue but with 4lo not working. Ended up having to replace the entire transfer case assy. I think you can only remove the entire actuator from the inside of the case. Ended up finding a low km transfer case assy for $500 and swapped it on my own.
