The infamous NARV (Not A Rape Van) 2.0 is up for sale.

Fully built out, turn-key campervan that can still be used as a daily driver. This is not your average backyard built campervan. This is a professionally built out on a fully loaded LT body. Power seats, Power Mirrors, etc. Van is completely insulated with Thinsulate (floor, walls, roof, doors). Sound deading throughout. The entire interior build has barriers between all wood and metal, meaning NO SQUEAKS. Floor plan allows the van to be used as an everyday driver with 5 DOT Seat belted positions and factory airbars. The bench seat can be removed to make it large enough to carry furniture, or to use as a wide open camper. Interior is heated with a Camco Wave Catalytic Propane heater, running from a 5lb tank, which lasts for weeks. Floors and walls in front area, all designed with rubber coin flooring and trimmed throughout with Aluminum, making the space water resistant and very durable. Bed can easily sleep two and converts into dinette. Custom cushions made with 4” premium Lucid foam. Custom epoxy countertops and table. Table on Lagun mount, which can be mounted in two positions based on need. Portable Cassette toilet is hidden under the bed for easy access. 1000W Renogy Full Sine-Wave Inverter and Charge Controller, which charges from the alternator, or via shore power (hidden plug in rear tire well). 100amp HR battery. 200W Solar on roof, which can easily be removed if needed. Solar Charge Controller with Bluetooth. Professional marine grade wiring throughout. Rear Heat/AC retained and re-routed through build. LED lights throughout, including in storage cubbies. USB Chargers throughout. Ceiling lights on dimmer. MaxxAir Deluxe Fan, with remote. Upgraded Android HeadUnit. All exterior professionally wired with dedicated relays under hood. Reflectix Window Coverings for all rear windows.

The suspension was built not just for looks, but to truly support the build. With upgraded 6 leaf springs from a suburban 2500, this van easily carrys it load. I would challenge anyone to find another campervan, which drives as good as this, while being as quiet as it is. If you come for a test drive, bring someone who has driven a Express or E-Series, for their honest opinion on how much better this drives and handles. Due to its weight, AWD, and tires, this is a complete beast in snow and on ice.

Has only had premium Mobile 1 Synthetic in it, has only ran 97 octane+. Engine runs perfectly, with no lights, warnings, nothing. It has the nearly bulletproof 5.3l V-8, which at 142k is just getting broken in. I bought the van in 2000 with 99k, to show how little miles are put on it. It is my everyday commuter van, and my weekend adventurer.

Van is a 2 owner. The original owner was in Delaware; so there is some surface rust on the frame from its first life in the East, but nothing serious.

The van is turnkey, bring your snowboard, sleeping bag, and some food, and head to the mountains. I’ve camped down into single digits without any issue. You may have seen this at WP Lot G over the last few years.

I LOVE this van, it has taken me over a year to come to terms that I need to sell it. I have another Offroad camper now, and a Jeep….and it just doesn’t make sense to keep it. Someone is going to get very lucky grabbing this from me. This van was built to be used. Everything was painfully thought out. It is built to be durable and sustainable. It has been used, but everything is as good as the day it was built.

The back/garage/underbed area has been left unfinished. The original plan called for a pull out kitchen, with sink, etc. But the reality of how it has been used, it never made sense. I always just cooked outside in good weather, and inside when it was cold. So it can be used as it, like I have, or you can add a kitchen/drawers.

What it Needs
It “needs” nothing, but next on my list if I keep it are 1) upgrade the house battery to Lithium and 2) Start exploring new tires in another 10-15k. These now have about 40k on them…they are fine…but they are beginning to get a little noisy for my taste. There are a couple body rust spots that could use some attention in the next year or so, but again…nothing urgent.
