Lol I got more crap on jpatw "mine drove out fine" lol I bet it did!

Yeah I'm still on my stock tires. Plus the riot just didn't have enough power to push through the 17 inches of snow we got lol.

Funny, over there, its better off road than a modified wrangler. ha ha! 6ft of snow never stopped none of theirs. ha ha. I laughed at aroundincircles posting pics of his pat off road, it was trails my JK would do in 2wd, He was saying they were moderate trails. I love my patriot, but I don't pretend its something it's not. I think you would have faired better with dedicated winter tires, but if the snow was really sticky then I think you would be done either way. Love the pats tho!

Lol I llove...well like my little riot but I also jnow its not gonna do what a traditional 4wd with a v8 can, and your right...its one of those things where you get so rolled up into a certain type of vehicle that all of a sudden its unstoppable and can go anywhere lol. The Rover I used to own could go just about anywhere, the montero I got out of just before I bought the riot, it could just about go anywhere as well...My riot can't get me out of my driveway in a snow storm lol.

After I save up a little cash i'm gonna nab up some general grabbers, I would love some k02's or some duratracs but the grabbers are gonna be all my wallet will allow...especially after I found out my state requires tpms sensors...although I would have my old wheels and tires I could just throw on for inspection....hmmmmmm.

Yeah, have a look at those kumhos I am getting. They look to be a great tire as well. Plus they are lightweight. What our little pats need. Just swap out the sensors from your old wheels to your new. The patriot is an awesome everyday driver, that can handle going to fire roads, mild trails etc. Even with the lift kit, and bigger tires, its no OFF ROADER. Great expedition style rig tho.

Yeah agreed! I do like the khumo mt's they are pretty sweet. I was also looking into some hankook atm's. My last rig I put cooper at3's on it and had nothing but problems out of them, right now im running master crafts...which are the worst lol. I thought about swaping out the tpms sensors but they are only $35 each from rockauto so for an extra $140 give or take I can have 2 sets of wheels. I think the main reason I would do that is if I ever sell the riot I would put the old wheels back on before I sold it....i'm really trying to move into a jk asap lol just gotta get the wifey on board lol.

The riot is our step towards a jk, so we gotta spend a couple years with it, then its time to hop into a big boy truck...as my son would say lol.

Yeah, our son loves ours too! best family fun rig available. Good part of the kumhos they are very close to the same weight of the stock tires in the 235s.

I will definitely look into the khumos especially since weight plays are huge factor in our little rigs.

There are other ways to go. I had a friend that had a tacoed 2a. Basicly saying it was broken in the middle and looked like a taco So he welded it back together and added the V6. He was in the sheriffs jeep patrol and would chain up to head out to find a lost hunter. He said he had to stop a few times to scrape the snow away from his windshield so he could see as he was plowing so much snow and it tended to pile up on the thing. I chained up my '51 Chevy so I could get to work and ended up pulling many other people out. Even in a parking lot with about 14" of snow and ice. I was driving to Denver at about 40 MPH with the chains on and some twit in a Dodge van flew by me and a few miles later I saw him off on a ditch. I didn't help him.

No problem. I think Jhill is a pretty chill guy and likes the discussion of parts and stuff. I am getting them this spring after the winters come off our pat. There are only 120 kms on our stock tires so I will get top dollar for them on trade for the new ones. I think the at51s in 235 are only 4lbs heavier than the stock. That's pretty good.

Hahaha no worries guys. I love talking parts! I checked several tires and how much they way vs the the pro comp 7032 wheels I have and heres what I found.
Pro comp =22pounds
General grabber 235/70/16 = 32 pounds
General grabber 225/75/16=33 pounds
Hankook atm 235/70/16= 33 pounds
Hankook atm 225/75/16=32 pounds

So no matter which tire its gonna be over 50 for each.

I am using the stock wheel. I am only gaining 4 lbs. perfect! my wheel setup on my JK is tipping 80 lbs per wheel. You notice it too!
