more details on the gas tanks?

when is your birthday, mine is on saturday.
They are 2.5 NATO style cans. I have 2 other 5 gallon NATO cans but when full it's a lot of weight, and I was telling my dad about it a while back, and then today he is like come over i got ya something lol. So total I have 20 gallon of extra fuel storage I can carry...now where I can carry it is the question lol.

Happy early birthday man! Mine isn't until November lol but I'll take an early bday present any day.

It has the CVT which is weak, causes driveability problems, and is overall not as good as the 6sp automatic in the FD1.

Ahh ok, yea seen the issues Jhill had with his and that actually kind of scares me a bit. So i may go looking for the 6 speed...how can i tell if it has it? The 4 High Altitudes i looked at had what looked to be a sport shifter type set up. What i mean by that is they had a normal looking automatic shifter but in a certain position they could be moved side to side to manual shift. Is that the 6 speed?

Yup, but I believe they did away with the old cvt that caused major fail problems...I wanna say 2014ish...

Yep, that's exactly why Jhill. Now certain parties on other named forums tend to believe that the CVT is the be all end all. However they even had to replace them. Don't make sense. Besides the thrashed suburban transmission I had to replace because of my own fault, I have never had 1 transmission problem in any of the over 100 vehicles I had before, standard or automatic. hell even in our alcohol injected turbo civic the transmission was far from the weak link. It held up fine to repleated hard driving. The patriot cvt is like an eggshell, its going to break, you just don't know when....

The new automatic came in all 2.4 patriot FD1 starting in 2014. The FDII off road package still has the CVT. The difference in drivability is HUGE, and the difference in reliability is 10 fold!

Added a roof basket. I scored it off Amazon warehouse for $70 to my door. They said the packaging was damaged, but the box didn't have any rips or dings or anything, it looked brand new.

Completely messed up today. I was working on 2 projects at the same time, one included plasti dip, the other high temp paint... See where this is going lol.

I ended up painting my muffler with plasti dip on accident. Before I even realized what I was doing. I had already put down a coat. I tried to peel it off, and I even used a wire brush without any luck...so I just went for it. Hopefully it will hold up.

The other project..which required plasti dip was adding some tail light trim. I have played so much attention to the front end and the rear was looking a little bare, so I figured these might look pretty good.

Gotta love the mess ups. Worst thing that will happen is the PD will melt on the muffler causing a massive stink in the rear of the vehicle. ha ha.
